The Grand Seiko is a real connoisseurs watch...the general public lumps it in with Seiko's, but people that understand and appreciate mechanical movements love this watch.
FWIW......My WK2 Jeep GC was first model year (2014 but bought in 2013) for WK2's. Even though JCG's have been around for decades the issues I had were documented on thread here: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/wk2-reliability.198401/
I stopped updating list in 2018 but since then...
For both my full size and commander .45’s, Gary Brommeland makes great holster that conceals really well. Remember with any holster a good gun belt is mandatory, With heavier guns I like belts with metal insides.

Like others I also travel with Adventure Tools Shop Roll w/ 66 pc Dewalt tool set and it has been super helpful. Full weight is only 23lbs and it rolls up very small, but it has lots of DeWalt tools and tool selection is very well thought out. I added a few of my own specialty tools and about to...
Adding 1" block if necessary is good idea, not sure why I didn't think of that as I currently have 2" blocks and will remove with new leaf springs. I was assured it won't sag with new springs but I don't see how adding another 1" would hurt just to make it future proof. As far as extra 100 lbs...
Hi, for my E-350 Chinook I just ordered rear leaf springs to be built from ground up by Atlas Springs, I need 5" to get level at 7,500 rear axle weight, 10,700 total weight.
Atlas assured me I do not need to worry about sagging as they will build to my weight needs. However, I added additional...
Correction my GVWR is actually 10,700 not 10,500, so fully loaded (including 489lbs of water and gas) I am right at max.
When ordering leaf springs do people use max weight or does it make sense to back off some for gas and water usage (reduction) while on trip, or does it even matter?
I I have a lifted 2wd Chinook with 4.5" front lift and used 2 inch blocks in rear plus raise MorRyde to get even, but after two years it has dropped in rear quite a bit. My rear axle is 7,200 which puts whole rig at 10,700 fully loaded which is 200 over max. I am looking to add 5" in rear &...
Like you this was my third, and I attended the earlier two you did.
I went there with a short shopping list of smaller items I didn't get in 2019 East, but none of those vendors showed up. There were tons of big ticket vendors but few small item ticket vendors, there weren't any dedicated solar...
My rig was accepted for the FYI/Show corral at Overland Expo East 21(y) I look forward to seeing any forum members that want to stop by and say hello! I have a 50 min. presentation at some point and lucky for me I had career that required quite a bit of public speaking so I should be able to...
When it comes to watches Accurate and mechanical really aren’t used in same sentence. Any cheap battery watch is more accurate than a mechanical watch including Rolex. A rolex is certainly an heirloom piece and prices have skyrocked over last 18 months., even submariners are over 10k…used……but...
Agree, I have large pass thru in Chinook which is based on e-350 cutaway and although I do hear occasional squeaks/rattles and such (not too bad unless on bad dirt road), I really like hearing what else is going on back there.......did I forget to put something away and now it fell and is...
We bought another 2 months ago (took forever to find good deal), about to list in next few weeks, rents are increasing so no rush. We are patiently looking for another.
That is how economy works, however, with Fed sacrificing savers and the dollars purchasing power at alter of bubbled asset prices few things will get cheaper until Fed is reigned in. Then everything will get cheaper...very quickly....if Fed gets reigned in! Hopefully this happens before next...
My rig has 2 6v batteries wired to create 12v (can't remember if this is serial or parallel) and has a "Vehicle Boost" switch. If engine battery dead, starting rig while pressing vehicle boost will start it from the 6v batteries.
Awheeler, this looks like great build and will be helpful to many. Would you consider sharing your budget, build costs and time invested? I think this would be very helpful for those looking to do build themselves.
