Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD build thread

nice write-up and pics. I currently have wk2 but have had GC’s since 03. They are great plarform, cushy on highway and so capable off-road. I wish I had your talent for mods, you did some real nice ones. There are not rear storage systems for GC’s in US so I may look at having cabinet maker...

    Will this shovel stay put???

I have same rubber clamps connected to rear ladder to attach my shovel. Many 8-10 hour days and never an issue. I use stainless stell clamps to attach to rubber grips.

    small fish finder

Split screen become more helpful as your comfort level with different screen functions and floor topography increase. When power fishing by banging banks, just a depth screen is fine, but when further out the charting screens, sonar, downscan and others gives great view and understanding of...

    small fish finder

I had 5" lowrance on Hobie as well, returned it several days later for 7", the bigger screen really helps when you use split screen functions which for me are very helpful. Also I am no longer spring chicken and eyes aren't what they used to be, so that might happen something to do with it.

    2020 EarthCruiser?

Interesting thread, I don‘t think Earthcruisers or Earth Roamers are priced out of line when compared to other high end discretionary purchases like off shore fishing boats or open water cruisers. A high quality 35 to 42 ft fishing boat (which is not a big boat) has less livability and off-grid...

    New tiger

Sweet rig, but kinda odd light colored cab seats on an adventure rig. They call leather color cinnamon but looks off-white to me.

VIDEO: Virginia to Montana in a 2019 Ford Ranger

This was really good, when the Lulu Pass images came up I was shocked, how insanely beautiful and different than east coast (I live in VA also). Perfect for Overland East movie festival, there are a lot of us east coast folks that are dreaming of a trip like this but can't commit to time yet...

What....Dang, I must have missed rule that spending money on hobbies needed to be for practical reason only...LOL

    Bumper options?

I didn't like Aluminess profile as I think they stick out to far, I looked far and wide and ultimately decided on a front bumper from Ujoint in NC, I am very happy and I think it looks the best. Aluminim and cheaper as well.
