No if ands or buts about it you'll have a much better quality tent with the used CVT. I'd never buy a Smittybuilt tent no matter the cost. From my experience, the ones that rave about the Smittybuilt tents don't have experience with other quality brands.

You might contact Paul May at Equipt. He is about 6'4" and drives a 200 series. Doesn't seem to have any complaints about fitting. The 200 is such a nice car!

Wheelbase is much shorter with the cruiser. Turning radius will be much improved. It will fit onto more trails than the Ford and is arguably more capable. It won't tow nearly as much as the Ford if that's important.

The footprint of the XL (closed) is 4x6' so as long as you have space on your rack for that behind the basket on the ARB it will work. It's also possible to have some of the tent extend over the end of the rack.
