A bit off topic, but I finally did some tire size comparisons.
All 37x12.5/17 on 8.5 wide wheels
Left, new GY MTRK, with weight of the jeep on the tire, bought July 2013
Middle, new GY MTR old style' bought in 2009 as a spare then was going to run them when the KMs wore out. GY changed right...
Front bumper is a hacked up mopar bumper made into a stubby with a winch. I still have some work to do on it to get it to the final stage.
Back bumper is a piece of aluminum channel with an AEV tire carrier with a 37 on it.
So somewhat light, but was surprised about the amount of lift...
No grinding for the free spin kit. The only issue I had was the ujoints. The kit used the AAM ujoint, not a standard d60 joint. I was sent the wrong joints, based on what the vender knew. Not a huge deal, just another week of delay.
As for the tire problem, a couple options.

I converted my front axle to with the dynatrac free spin kit. Quite a bit of work, but I am happy with it. I needed to do ball joints and stuff, so while I was at it...

For reference my truck has the Lorenz 2.5 suspension package. SAW 2.5" resivour shocks all around. I went round and round back in 05 when I did the suspension. No regrets. Looks like he is not doing the same setup any more. Thinking thuren might be my choice now...

I use to put a good 12k a year on the truck and the BFGs have served me well.
