That is a really cool and brilliant idea! What an awesomely irrelevant idea for a trip and sounds like it could be a ton of fun.
I can't make it though...I will be needed here to lead and guide the newly released, rampaging hordes of the Sparmish Army if by chance some of humanity does survive...
That look's pretty sweet Tango, I wonder how doing a similar treatment would look on my Tundybird?
But I have a couple of questions/thoughts...
As an owner of two silver vehicles (a similarly shaped model as yours, ie the Tundra, and one with a flat slab of hood in the form of my LJ) I've...
If the 'yaks are in good condition than that's not a bad deal, they'll be worth that for a while if you go to sell them and upgrade farther down the road. You can pick up a fair paddle like the Carlisle's for around $40. We have a couple for the kids and they work just fine. The only 'yak I...
I used the TR250 to coat the interior of my Jeep's hardtop...my wife and I couldn't stand the white gel coat. It's been about three years since I applied it and it has held up very well. I though I'd post some pics so you could see the finished results...
I did get a few scratches where...
That's a good lookin' site Dave. I like the sense of humor in the trip reports, makes for fun reading. Good luck and have fun with it!
:peepwall: Your still gonna hang out over here with us I hope...
You should do just that. A trip report from the Tango perspective would be entertaining and since you've already teased us with a scattering of trip pics in the past adding a good yarn to them would be the right thing to do.
We still have your original digital camera that you handed down to us and it's still goin' strong after all these years. And it's been dropped at work a few times. You want it back? You guys always do such nice work on all your projects and it's good to see you deep in a project again. I...
2000 mile report...
It's been nearly two months since the Maxxs' were mounted and I just put over 2000 miles on them. So far I'm very happy with them. I was a little worried if I made the right choice as the wet (as in rain) traction has been slightly worse than the Dean SXTs that were on my...
Got something in mind? Hunting season is pretty well done, Michelle doesn't start her next round of classes until mid January and it's gettin' cold up here. :REOutCampFire03:
That's a great lookin' Tundybird Motochain.
We are considering an RTT. Our thoughts on one is that we could use it mounted on the lower rack of the truck for boondocking trips deep in the woods or on trips where we are travelling to a new location each day. Than on trips where we are base...
I'm glad the design worked for you. Post up some pics someplace so we can see the results.
For us it's bringing the kids along and then we just take the Tundra.
When entering from the back of the Jeep we leave the tire carrier in the open position, close the tailgate and then pull the rear class closed. I use a small bungee strap hooked to the roll cage and the rear wiper housing to keep it closed. I can work up a plan for you but please be patient...
