I don't believe anyone (OEM's, labs, performance parts companies, etc) has ever come out and said officially what the best startup process is but there have been studies about it. Most I have seen indicated the best method was to start up and immediately drive highway speeds. The reason is...
I used ACM on the slide in truck camper I built and am not happy with it. It is too soft. If you will be going places that will give you pinstripes I suggest something heavier than ACM. Mine has a few dents but luckily it hasn't punctured anything yet. I also added a 6 mil wrap and that helped...
Anyone in the great white north ever have problems starting their gas engines in sub-zero temps? I have a Honda Rincon ATV with a fuel pump outside the take. Last year I tried to start it in 8F temps and it wouldn't start. Brand new fuel in it but the gas had gelled in the fuel pump. After...
Looks good. I love how you built the box for the batteries with handles to easily move it. Great idea.
How did you mount the upper cabinets. Did you have metal in the wall to bolt them too?
Well, I wouldn't call any kettle efficient regardless of power source. But yes, a 120v kettle is faster than 12v in my experience. Electric is not an efficient method for heating.
As a chemical engineer that worked in two different plastic producing plants I would say no, there is always...
I have a 100 ah AGM battery. My biggest question right now is how long will that last. How many days can you run your fridge? Do you use solar panels to recharge or the Bluetti?
Thanks on the camper. I always liked yours as well. But I haven't seen a pic of it in a while.
Well the wood never dried enough to apply a sealer so I had to put the trailer back together. I guess I will do it this summer. The trailer looks good though. I miss the smell of new wood in the garage.
That is interesting. I was going to put a hellwig on my truck but it hung lower than the diff so it was a no go. As were a couple other brands I looked at. This looks to solve that problem.

I may need to get one of those heaters with a remote. I have a mr buddy heater but rarely take it on trips because I have to get out of bed to turn it on. At that point I might as well just get up. Last year I camped and several days had highs in the single digits. My mr Buddy would have been...
Not sure what fix you found but when the dealership told me was to put larger turbos on it, like the ones that are on the mustang. That sounds awesome until you blow the engine. These engines don't have the greatest reputation for being strong. I may look into what you have?

Yeah I have stayed away from tunes because almost everyone I know that has a tune on their 3.5 L have had engine issues. My concern with power is when I need to pass people or shoot a gap. The little delay can cause a huge problem. The Tundra would just shoot like a rocket and keep me safe in...
Four things stand out to me: reliability, towing, power, and turning. I won't go into reliability. I think everyone can admit that Tundra gen was way more reliable than my 2018 F150. That is also my experience. Towing with the Tundra was so much more comfortable. Yes the F150 has plenty of power...
Sounds like you did it the way I want. No set schedule or agenda. Move when you are ready. Yes I like the public transportation over there. Great way to explore the city. When I went to Milan for the first time I rode the train and got off at every stop and explored. It took me most of a week to...
