    FGs for sale

Haven't looked at Gumtree for a while, seems to be a few new ones available. Rather like the look of this one http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/hope-island/campervans-motorhomes/4x4-isuzu-nps300-crew-cab-series3-eurov-slide-on-camper/1119185015

How would you design a vehicle for rescue in flooding and snow?

I'd be thinking something a little bigger. Have you considered an lmtv, unimog or fuso FG? Plenty of ground clearance, easy to modify for water fording, lots of payload options. Similar vehicle here in Aus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=janfyzt4Qyk

Pickup cab on an 80 series chassis?

Flatbeds are a bit easier. Some examples here http://www.creativeconversions.com.au/photos/3

To have a safe, or not?

We plan on two safes. First hidden, but not too hard to get to, with a few thousand, some electronics and probably our main passports. If someone holds us up, this'll be the one we open. Second will be smaller and more hidden/harder to get to. Will keep backup passports (we'll both be...

    DEF...what's a body to do?

Have larger tanks, plan your route and take a few cans with you if you know you'll be in an area without the right fuel. There's always the risk you have to fill up, adding good aftermarket fuel filters may help, but may just have to fill up and see what happens, putting in known stuff as soon...

    Onboard washer/dryer... worth it?

There's a bit more space inside his than a normal XP V1 Camper. More akin to a European expedition truck than slide on camper

    Dodge Ram 5500 motorhome

I think it's funny that you're selling after putting this much time into the camper build, and interesting that you've been asked about the commercial aspect of it. We've had a similar thought process, the idea of selling the build after finishing/using it for a while has come up and most common...

One more composting toilet install/review. Two years off and on usage.

Hahaha. Last time they caught me with 3 peppers (product of USA, bought in Canada) and half a lemon. Good to hear the toilet works well. We've one to put in our camper, haven't used it yet but most things I'm hearing about it are positive (pee trap I could see improvements being made on).

    FG84 Camper Build

Hahaha. Yeah, life got in the way a bit. Still expect it'll be on the road later this year, just minus a few of the storage boxes and things like winches

    FG84 Camper Build

In Canada at the moment. Like Owen said, it's a rubber seal the Styromax guys use for their moving walls. I'll take a photo if you like when I get home

Safe travels, we're all curious to hear how it works in real life.

    EarthRoamer XV-JP "Northwest Edition"

I'm putting a 1000w inverter in to handle the wifes nespresso machine and blender, otherwise wanted to avoid one. Only push towards a big one would be if using an induction cooktop or air conditioner. Can always be put in later if needed.

255/85r16 Dual rear? stock wheels? spacer?

Have you thought about upgrading your rims instead? I've got the ATW super singles on mine, each rated at 3 tonnes. They're regularly used and abused here in Aus, should be able to cope. How much load are you carrying?

My new Fuso FGB71 All Terrain Warriors "UNIVERSAL WARRIOR" slide on mega camper

Welcome to the forum. Project sounds interesting, interested in seeing photos and details. I like that you're doing a slide on, think it gives the greatest flexibility with the truck. Most of us canter guys hang out in the Japanese trucks section, lot of experience and ideas in there. You'll...

    EarthRoamer XV-JP "Northwest Edition"

I think the contract was pretty clear on what should have been done. 10k isn't a lot to start with, but that should have been budgeted at the start if more was required. Posting on the board isn't the big issue, it's what the current state of the Jeep is. Even if the Jeep was to have been sold...

    wife became a vegetarian

Grew up as a vegetarian, didn't try meat until around 17 or 18. Meals might taste a bit bland for a while until your cooking catches up but there's lots of options. Definitely pick up some cookbooks, mushrooms form great texture, tofu can taste good, spices are your friend. It forces you to...

    EarthRoamer XV-JP "Northwest Edition"

Some stuff I found during a google search of Red Cannon. Building bought from Fairfield council for $85k, 25k in cash, rest rebated from council based on building works being done and certain milestones being reached. http://ia-fairfield.civicplus.com/DocumentCenter/View/2870 Go Fund Me page...
