Yep I know a place out in Cloudcroft I think it's called Hi-line or something like that. It goes just down hill from the sun observatory. If you go on Google Earth you can kinda make out the trail. I took my wife's Escape on a neat little trail on Capitan. I'll take my rig next time though.

Will do. In-laws live in Ruidoso...actually Alto but I've been looking for trails in that area. Hope to come out...well, sometime and will let you definitely know ahead.

That spawns a question that maybe off-topic...does using a heat gun endanger the paint on our vehicles? I know obviously if it gets too close it will but any heat be harmful?

Black can be a little intense in south Texas. Would any other color work yet not absorb as much sun/heat?

In Central Texas it's not a heater issue. It's heat in general. Handbrake has basically told me no a/c = no trailer. I've found several pop-ups that I like but no a/c. Do the indoor swamp coolers really work that well?
