    weights - general items

All I can add is that I was amazed at how much my truck weights as I normally drive it. I was getting a pre-camper weight. All that stuff you drive with, tools, air compressors, winches, oil, antifreeze , just general crap added up to several hundred pounds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    060s skamper roof repair

My flat stock spans the rear inside of the roof. My torsion brackets are angles, with two mounting screws in the rear and one on the side (times two for both sides) Edit. The picture showing the plate is the rear of the camper Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    060s skamper roof repair

I just redid the torsion bar mounts on my Northstar with a very similar roof. I definitely recommend putting a piece of flat stock under the torsion brackets. Drill the holes for the 1/4-20 bolts nicely so there is no slop. I used 1.5” wide by 1/8” thick flat stock. I put like 10 wood screws...

Dude, it’s not a craigslist ad, it’s a members for sale post. It’s uncool to hose up his thread. He says the range is from full to the empty light, pretty standard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Full-time living, hard-side vs pop-top question

Curious what the $50k from Total Composites is, that a finished interior? A panel kit would be nowhere near that much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Full-time living, hard-side vs pop-top question

I have owned three Popup truck campers over the years and I found that putting the top for a quick stop(to make coffee, lunch or use the bathroom) is a pain in the rear. Sure it’s easy, but it takes time and it’s very obvious when you do it- certainly not a problem in the sticks, but if you are...

400 watt solar install on Northstar TC800

That’s pretty much it… gravity and 4200. There are 7 lags into the plywood on each outside edge. Definitely not going to fall off. It’s how Northstar recommend doing it, it’s really all you can do without making some kind of rack that spans the roof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
