I have this one thing called nothing on my bumper. ;) I did this crazy thing where I kept the spare where it is supposed to be and put the water and fuel as close to the front as possible.
I get why wagons/SUVs put some stuff on the back because they just don't have room.
But putting the spare...
Iceco VL45
Quiet room baseline- 24.3 db
Fan side high power compressor setting- 36.9db
Fan side low power compressor setting- 37.1db
Difference from baseline to operating 12.8db
My house fridge kicked on and then my neighbors brodozer showed up and started idling so I bailed on the quiet...
I want one to throw rice and veggies to cook while I am driving around but I have so much crap already too.
What does work great for rice and pasta and a whole bunch of stuff is a small pressure cooker. I can cook rice in about 8 minutes with this thing. Cook pasta in 11 and it doesn't matter...
Just pulled my Vl45 out of the box last night so early days. But the build quality is amazing and it feels like a tank in the best way possible. Also a lot quieter than I thought it would be. Just a slightly more whirry fan sound but can't really hear the compressor. Also no vibrations to speak...
That's a bummer to hear. I went with them after about a half dozen success stories running around on the hoods of vehicles in high heat environments like AZ and NV for 2-2 years. We'll see I guess.
They answered a few of my emails back about a question and then an order change after they were...
I have 2 lensun 80 watt panels I plan to VHB tape to my hood. 80 watt because 2 fit better on my hood than the 150 watt size does and I can run them in series.
Ordered but delayed shipping untill next week sometime so can't really say anything about them.
What are you using as a charge controller?
I am always a little surprised more people don't use a similar device. I use more or less the same that came with my Viaair compressor. It's fast enough and in a group the guys with deflators or valve core removers seem to finish airing down their tires and then proceed to screw around anyways...

I replaced a broken clamp bar and some oxidized hardware on my RTT. It literally took a minute to cut all 4 off while not trying to be fast. Could have used quiet bolt cutters in about the same time. People steal catalytic convertors all the time by cutting them out. No one cares about...
I worked around some fleet equipment that had this style of connector. They are extremely vulnerable to side loads bending the connector since the plug is long and acts as a lever. They are not bad with both ends on wires but with a hard base much less so. Once they get tweaked they have a habit...
This all day long. Used to do some snow and ice racing. Driven just about all the snow and ice tires there are from cheap to expensive. Some of the Blizzacks work better on ice when brand new but then suck when their special sauce compound wears out at 50% tread. But all around nothing works as...
Those tubes without an ARB style metal bumper to tie into on the corners seem kind of pointless. Particularly without the side rails. They are just so far out there in space I can't imagine them doing much of anything in the way of protection.
FWIW I just pulled the trigger on one of these and the code BFCM was good for $70 off a $588 purchase still. Basically wound up getting the cover for one of these for free which is the deal they had last year sometime.
Credit to whoever had/created the code. I had it scribbled down from quite...
I am in the same boat but if I pull the trigger I just figure there is really no reason to leave the oiler full. Just put a little in each time you use it. For the trail clearing and light fire wood processing I am going to use it for I could probably just manually oil the chain and be happy...
I often have this this site on a tab on half my laptop screen. Twice now I have left it on the thread index page and someone has asked "What's with HUMAN FECES in all caps?".
I now make sure I click on a thread or minimize the window before I leave my computer LOL.
Inherited 3 sets of KO2's. They were all awful. Excessive chunking and terrible cold wet road and snow performance. Seriously scary after about 2 years old the compound is garbage. Hugely inconsistent wear from vehicle to vehicle and size to size. Last 2 sets I got rid of at 60-70% tread...
