Awesome summary Johnny! I took my 97 SR out on some roads I was not supposed to be on in the rain on Sunday and got into some sketchy situations but nothing like your trip. Glad everything worked out and you guys had a great time.

Your owner's manual will tell you what fluid to use. Mine is a 97 SR and says to use Dexron II but the Mitsu dealer and several forum members say that SPIII is the way to go. I'm going to go with the SPIII, just bought 9 quarts at the dealer for $6/each.

Did you replace the bulbs with LEDs or incandescents? If LEDs, remember they only work one way so it's possible they were put in with the wrong polarity. Long shot, but possible.
