I will keep my 79 k30 forever and same with my 01 TJ. The truck was a field find and initial it took a bit of work to get it going but now it's doing great. I bought the TJ new in Feb of 01. It has taken a beating but hasn't need much in the way of repairs.
Twice a year I get underneath each...
I wouldn't lease anything that I planned on using for Off-roading / overlanding or working hard, I can't imagine any new vehicle I would use for that. I do like to have a new or newer wife / family car. Over the last decade or so it seems I was swapping them out about ever 3 years, so why buy...
I just became that guy. I have been buying cars since the 80s (even sold cars) I never had plans on leasing one. But I just did. After my last experience buying a nice newer car and suffer from all the repair bills and depreciation I don't want another ( I am still not ready to go electric, I...
I had an Acadia with multiple electric issues. While at the dealer (many times) I spoke with a tech and he said there are allot of electrical problems with the new Silverados. He didn't mention the Colorado but it wouldn't surprise me.
I had the first year of the 4.0 in the 4Runner and it let me done. After that they seemed to get it squared away.
I guess I have to change my choice to:
D: none of the above but if forced to choose I say Jeep only because I am a Jeep guy and I suppose that is what is expected of me.
-OR-...
I am a Jeep TJ guy. People are having far more issues with the newer Wranglers than I ever remember people have with any TJ or YJ. I know the new Wranglers are capable but I would never consider one, esp the first year of a new model. I had an Acadia Denali and it was such a POS I won't even...
I am up in the air. My wife will probably choose they vehicle. I like the idea of leasing because I really don't want to own a new car. Keep it for a few years and than poof, its gone. I would consider buying a few year old Toyota.
You can't say a 2018 or newer is good, just has not been out long enough. I can only go on past performance which in my opinion makes any Acadia a real POS.
Here is my situation. I drive a 79 K30 and 2001 Wrangler. Both are very easy to fix and maintain. I have an 04 POS cavalier as a daily driver.
This purchase is for the wife ride which is currently an 2011 Acadia Denali. It has 106K miles on it and in the shop for a new T case $2100, had...
We have a Ford Mazda dealer close enough but wife thinks they are Ugly. This will be mostly her vehicle.
Edit. I just should more picks and now she says they aren't ugly. I may have to check them out.
The closest dealer for Subaru dealer is almost a 200 mile round trip for me, part might be an issue. When I do car fax search the closest used ones are at the dealership. I am not a Ford fan and after having the Denali I am no longer a GMC fan. I live rural, Jeep, Chevy, Ford, Toyota and Kia...
I am think about a Rav4. I won't be using it off-road, more on shorter road trips and just running around.
Anybody here have one? do you like it?
It will be replacing a Acadia Denali. I don't need that big of a vehicle anymore and won't be towing anything with it. I want smaller, better...
Go to Walmart. Buy an android phone for $50 with GPS. Download maps were you have wifi and make the phone you dedicated mapping device. If or when the dust, dirt and whatever elses tears it up (or you lose it you will have no personal information on it) go get another one for $50.
