Does Partner Steel make a single-burner stove?

OK...two more questions. While waiting for the single-burner stove to arrive I'm working out the exact layout for the Kanz. The grill will sit in there without modifying the top shelf in the Kanz, but the lid will not fit. I've done a bunch of Googling about using a lid with a charcoal grill but...

Official Test Results: Five Ways to Heat a Tent

Maybe. both 26mm hoses are the ones that came with the Propex and they haven't been cut. The Propex specs say that they can be extended, but cannot be shortened.

    Scare Horn

Good point, but I meant the type that is mounted through the roof of the trailer (like cop cars on the A-pillar)...not hand-held.

Fold out RTT with hard shell when closed?

My gut feeling is that they are imported from the Orient. Is that so? I could totally be wrong, but if they are manufactured in China I'm not sure how they justify a 4K+ price tag. You know damned well that the importer is not paying more than $1600.00 each for them.

Fold out RTT with hard shell when closed?

I'm in the market for a new RTT to replace my Baroud. It's a good tent but I have noticed the iKampers. That's why I'm curious. There may be a benefit to these new RTTs that I haven't noticed. Currently I'm considering an aluminum-shell RTT.

    Wondering??

I have been working myself up to buying a JL...but I haven't heard about any of this. Cooling systems for a battery? ESS system? Now I'm wondering if I can deal with the electrical system on a JL.

Fold out RTT with hard shell when closed?

It might be to avoid dealing with a traditional folding tent cover. They are a PITA.

    Trasharoo alternatives

Well, I've had a very hard time with communications involving East Coast Overland regarding a custom saw case. So hard in fact, that I am going to resort to creating my own solution. Per the usual. Initially they were "good-to-go" for a custom order. In fact it was their idea (I won't even ask...

Official Test Results: Five Ways to Heat a Tent

So...the Propex! Two nights ago I "engaged in some drinky" and slept in the RTT that night. When I woke up at about 6 AM I had a "four-blink" error code on the thermostat. I reset the Propex and the heater started to work again. I'm getting pretty good at remembering the reset sequence. When...

    Scare Horn

Yeah, I vote for a spotlight. Kinda rude, but not "shoot back at me" rude. Would definitely let them know that you are thinking about them.

    Is my Jeep too heavy?

Yeah...I'm not an off road expert (done very little of it in fact), but given the choice of negotiating a rough, twisty, tree-crowded road with a Jeep or a full-sized truck...I'm gonna choose any Jeep Wrangler. And, to be fair, how often do guys like me need to negotiate said roads? Almost...

Has anyone gone from a drawer system back to a simpler way of storage in their vehicles?

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong brother. FR has siphoned several grand out of me. It's good kit.

Accuride 9308 Locking Slide "Unlocking" Mod

I would go with this option. Would be cheap and involve no jury-rigging. The non-locking slides are very reasonably priced. Then, you could post the opposite set on here and probably get at least 1/2 your money back.

Fold out RTT with hard shell when closed?

Why would anyone want a hardshell RTT and "foldout" problems? I'm not playing devils' advocate here, and I'm not trying to be rude. Genuinely curious. I thought the beauty of a hardshell is that it doesn't have "foldout" problems (getting wet, long dry out time, difficult to put away, sacrifice...

OK...turns out that Partner Steel does make a single 9 x 12 inch stove. They don't have it on their website though. I ordered one today in preparation to do this: I never use more than one burner at a time, so I'll take out the 22 inch Partner, install the single-burner Partner on the right...

    Dreadlocks outfitting of InTech Discover

I'm glad you took the time to write this down. Slowly, yet surely, I'm being "talked into" lithium. Once the general shock of, "Holy crap, my 125 Ah battery will only run my fridge & fan for 1.5 days before dropping down to 12.1 volts with AGM" passed I hauled around a 100 watt solar panel for a...

Does Partner Steel make a single-burner stove?

Thanks guys. I just called Partner and they do make a single 9 x 12 stove that is not listed on their website. I'm ordering one today. $175.00 with no lid, handle, or hinges. The cool part is that both the gas valve and gas inlet are in the "front" (9 inch side). This means I can screw in the...

2-Door JK JeepKitchen - AT Chaser - Globetrotter - National Luna build thread

Welcome sir. Thanks for reading it! There will be more little things as I can afford to do them. Right now I'm ordering a single-burner Partner stove so that I can install both my Snow Peak grill and the single-burner in my Kanz Kitchen chuck box. Should be really cool (in my opinion).
