    6-person Base Camp tent

Just wanted to add that the reason for selling is, while this tent has been a pleasure to use, we are moving to an RTT or sleeping platform for ultra-quick setup and teardown. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    6-person Base Camp tent

REI Basecamp 6 - Used 3 weekends (<8 nights total). In like-new condition, no pinholes, no tears, no wear, no bent poles, just clean and solid inside out. Always used with the optional $60 footprint which is also included. The nice thing about the footprint is, its compact enough to fit inside...

    Going out Solo, Recovery options.

You got some great advice on equipment etc in the preceding posts. Without trying to sound repetitive, argumentative or stating the obvious, my two cents: 1) Carry at least 5 liters of water per day per person, plus 25%. Carry enough food for 2 full days, freeze dried or otherwise, and all...

Anyone using these radios - WLN KD-C1 UHF Mini Transceiver

All true, but the main advantage i am seeing is for those "fly-to" adventures where some airline travel is involved. If you're going to need vehicle-to-vehicle comms in the smallest and most compact package, i don't see many better options than this. With my UV5R in low wattage mode on UHF...

Two Bob's Ohio to Prudhoe 2016 - Ram/Hawk, Husky, and Wing.

Wow, nice setup! This is definitely way above the average person's single DSLR with a kit lens LOL. But it is a good glimpse into what you actually need to be able to get really good shots on a trip like this, if you dont want to do a ton of post-processing later.

Anyone using these radios - WLN KD-C1 UHF Mini Transceiver

Hi guys - During a random search of amazon for ham radios, I came across this one that appears to be relatively new. https://www.amazon.com/WLN-Channel-MINI-handheld-Transceiver-Communicator/dp/B01FVRHR34 I like it for a couple of reasons over the Baofeng UV5R: - Less things to break and go...

Really well done travelogue and the pictures are absolutely breathtaking. Can you share the details of your photography setup - camera, lenses, how you organize it etc?

    Midland MXT100 GMRS Mini Review

Met with the Mountain State Overland guys at Expo East last weekend and got to check out the MXT100 first hand. It seems like a really good value at $150, considering my really "inexpensive" CB system cost the same ballpark ($120) and took forever to research and put together. Not to mention...

That is awesome! Do you have more pictures and a parts list? That would be very helpful with my kitchen build. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

Not so new kid on the block. We are here to help with your RTT needs!

Hi Jim, I have a couple of questions. I'm very interested in your RTT products primarily due to their sizing, a length of 76-78" appears to be ideal for sub-6ft individuals such as my family to sleep 2+2 comfortably, maybe even 4 adults. Can you please confirm the actual mattress dimensions for...

    76 - 78" long tents (FreeSpirit recreation)?

Yes, I did see the article fairly thoroughly, and said so in my first post too. Thanks for the Odin lead. I did not see any tents from the article that are the size I need other than the FSR and the Smittybilt. I am not really sold on the quality of the Smittybilt, it just seems like something...

    76 - 78" long tents (FreeSpirit recreation)?

Hi guys, I'm looking for a soft shell RTT that has dimensions of roughly 76-78" length x 96" width for a family of 4. I feel that since I'm just under 6', sleeping in the 76" direction will be fairly comfortable. Through an extensive search through the ExPo RTT article and Google, I've found...

    Sold.

This is a really cool setup. Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but how do you like the setup/takedown time vs say a rooftop tent. Also, is it possible to equip this with their optional kitchen?

    Baofeng UV5RA "Emergency Comms" Kit

Hello, I put together this kit of 2 UV5RA radios+chargers+programming cable for emergency comms. The reason you should buy this instead of brand new is because these radios are already programmed to all the FRS, GMRS, MURS, Marine and other emergency frequencies per this guide. This saves you a...
