ROUTE 66: Oklahoma to Kansas to Missouri

The Missouri side. Not a good place to park and visit the bridge. Besides, no designated place to park. This is where a lot of people break into visitors cars. So, do not leave your car unattended here to visit the bridge. Go across state line into Illinois. They even warn you not to park here...

ROUTE 66: Oklahoma to Kansas to Missouri

Today, I decided to do a 8 hours round trip journey to do the whole of Route 66 in Missouri. What a trip. It was great. I ended in Illinois then had to turn back. On my way back, the trip was a lot of fun. There were a lot of trucks on the road. I mean I have never seen so many 18 wheelers...

Then went to West Plaza in town for some shopping and happen to park next to Tesla mini dealership. I just had to go in and sit in the car and get lectured. Pretty cool car. Starting at $70,000, they told us. Surprised to see there is nothing in the engine compartment in the front or in the trunk.

ROUTE 66: Oklahoma to Kansas to Missouri

Time to go to the World War I museum. I recommend to anybody. Great place. Read up on it to see more about it. Below this glass walkway are poppies (flowers). There are 9,000 of them representing the 9 million US men and women who died during this war. And they told us there were about 4...

ROUTE 66: Oklahoma to Kansas to Missouri

Today I decided to drive 2 hours away to Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO to eat bbq from the 2 well known places there and just to drive around and see other attractions like the World War I museum. A great museum telling the story of the war that many are not familiar with. Really touching...

ROUTE 66: Oklahoma to Kansas to Missouri

My Armada did ok. I was driving and stopping occasionally for gas or restroom. Whenever I stopped, I did not actually need gas, but it always made sense to fill up at any time. Gas is pretty fair now and to fill up my Armada cost me only $46 from empty with zero miles to empty showing. So, not...

Yeah, I really wish it was open when I passed by it. On my way back, I am still debating if I should go that same route to see POPS when it is open.

ROUTE 66: Oklahoma to Kansas to Missouri

I drove from 10pm to 4:30am when I got to Oklahoma. I thought I was going to get there at about 6am, but I made good time and got there very early. Well, I just decided to start my route 66 trip and since some places were not open, I did not get the chance to go into them. 1:30am getting some...
