I think the app looks good. My main reservation is getting the maps into the app. Others like Topo are really easy.

I just downloaded southern AZ 24k topo maps for the iPad HEMA app and think they are just as good as any that I have seen. I think the problem most people are having is it takes a while to understand the interface. I am looking for a Overland Navigator equivalent app for my iPad and I think...

I have Overland Navigator and love it. I hate my netbook and love my iPad. I am torn on shifting over to the iPad and losing Overland Nav. The iPad is just a better overall piece of hardware and fits better in my FJ with a touch interface. I am sure that I am not alone.

I doubt that anyone will catch up to Apple!
