Suzuki considering importing next gen Jimny

I've read a lot about it. I sincerely hope they do bring a Jimny-based pickup here. We could really use a compact pickup again, IMHO. My only caveats: - Manual trans available - Low range t-case offered - At least a solid rear axle - Keep it compact and efficient FYI, I wrote a post about this...

    Montero vs Montero Sport

My mother owned a 1997 Montero Sport for 10 problem-free years. The reliability was great until about 150,000 when she lost a head gasket. Other than that, it was flawless. As for rust, the vehicle endured 10 salt-laden winters in Minnesota and, other than the standard rock chips, it was...

    Hyundai and Kia's

I looked into earlier Sportages before getting my Sidekick, but didn't find much support either and went with the Suzuki. The original Sportages were a body-on-frame design. I know WARN makes hubs for them. If you could fab up a bumper, you could slap a winch on one. The early versions had Mazda...

FYI, I've got a couple of the Govino glasses. I can't compare them to the other brand. The only downside to them is that they scratch somewhat easily. - Andy

What would you buy if you only had...

    T100 fuel economy is about 15/17 (1995 4x4 auto) 13/16 (1994 4x4 auto), though, and he said he's looking for 18+. - Andy

What would you buy if you only had...

Four-door Suzuki Sidekick/Geo Tracker. They're easy to work on, get good mileage, can be extensively modified, and the four-door (long wheelbase) versions have good space. You might even be able to get into a Suzuki Vitara/Chevy Tracker ('99+), too. - Andy
