WARN Portable winches at Overland Expo

Like our other winches, the portable winches will come out of our Oregon, USA manufacturing facility. I believe these are made at our Milwaukie, OR facility. We had good response to the XT17 Portable winches at Overland Expo. We heard some great feedback. Many people said "I've never seen a...

Any home brewers or backyard distillers around?

Homerbrewer here. I got a kit that included everything I needed to brew, sans incredients. Plus, it came with The Joy of Homebrewing, which is a good book for any brewer to own. Another good one is The Homebrewer's Recipe Guide. Under the "Getting Started" button at http://www.letsbrew.net/ is...

    Keen Quality??

I've got a couple of pairs, as does my wife. My Keen boots have been to many WARN events as well as many hikes. They've been beat pretty hard. I got them in '07, and just now there's a flap on the side of the sole that's starting to get "flappy." Some ShoeGoo will likely fix it. My wife's had...

    school me on trackers

We recommend 1.5 x GVWR for the minimum pulling capacity. A WARN M6000 would be fine for most Trackers/Sidekicks/Vitaras. However, in most cases, the WARN M8000 is typically a bit cheaper.

    Compact P&S?

Another vote for Canon here. I bought a SD1400 IS for work, and it's been a fantastic little camera. Only a 4x zoom, but I've had great luck with it. It has a fairly wide angle lens, too, which is great for me, since I take a decent amount of photos at shows, and don't have a lot of room to back...

    school me on trackers

I've got a '95 Sidekick soft top. I've done the necessary tuneup stuff thus far. Looking to possibly nab some 235/75/15 AT tires this weekend, a 2" lift will be next, then a bumper/winch/lights, etc. I took my 100% stock sidekick on a snow run this January, and it did great in part due to its...
