    Ford front bumpers

It does decrease cooling slightly but overall hasn't been an issue for me. I have an aluminess front bumper.

    HazVan - 2002 E-350 SuperDuty 7.3l PSD

Long time but finally back to the van. Removed the front and have the front axle mostly out together. Going to replace the oil cooler o rings while I have great access. Then it's time to install the axle.

    2002 FORD F550 XL 4x4 Diesel 7.3L Hotshot Ambulance!

Interested. Do you know if it's able to be registered in CA? I thought I read somewhere F450/550 of that vintage needed to be retrofitted to be registered in CA, but not sure.

    HazVan - 2002 E-350 SuperDuty 7.3l PSD

Dialed in the preload for the pinion at 10-12 in/lbs. With the old bearing as a setup bearing. Replacing that should bring it up to spec in the 20-25 in/lbs range. It's amazing how a few hundredths in shims makes a huge difference. Carrier is up next.

    HazVan - 2002 E-350 SuperDuty 7.3l PSD

Diff regear continues as well. Disassembled the old pinion and removed the gear from the carrier. Awaiting a shop press to finish the assembly. Highly recommend a 12" brass drift for getting pieces out. Next to impossible with a 6" or 7" drift.

    HazVan - 2002 E-350 SuperDuty 7.3l PSD

Refreshed the ball joints in the front axle. The top ball joints were original and totally shot. Not hard to replace if you're already tearing the axle down. Which you basically are required to inorder to do the replacement. Replaced with Moog ball joints as I don't want to ever tear this axle...

Newbie Van Build - 1997 E150 - MG Radius Setup

You mean drop the transmission cross mount right? Timberline suggests a 2.5" drop, it used to be 3" but they found 2.5" to be a better fit. Couple questions: Who what where did you get your driveshaft? Did you angle the rear at all on springs? What rear end do you have? (F250/350, E150 w/ spacers?)

Opinions on Block Heater replacement.. 400watt vs 1000 watt

My bad, I knew I should have looked it up before commenting. I have a D2 with high altitude sensor that is fantastic. Also tried two different Chinese knock offs but they both had issues between controllers, pumps and failed seals. Friend has one that works perfectly and adjusts for altitude...

Opinions on Block Heater replacement.. 400watt vs 1000 watt

Rather than the diesel air heater, you could use something like Espar Hydronic D5E to heat the coolant directly. That will be very efficient in heating up the block.
