Advice requested:$35K budget, what are you buying and why?

Yep. Adult sized kids are entertained as long as they have their phones. Little kids take up much more room with babyseats (especially rear facing) and other junk, lol Not saying it can't be done. It just might be more painful for all involved, lol

    KTM's....

I either forgot or didn't know you had an 890. Basically the same bike as my Norden with a different body. That's one reason I chose the Norden Expedition. Same suspension / engine as the 890R, low COG like the 890. But better wind protection for touring and comes with a center stand, bash...

Advice requested:$35K budget, what are you buying and why?

I would not recommend an extended cab for 2+ kids. Up to him at the end of the day. He posted asking for recommendations, so I gave mine based on my experiences. Started with a SUV when the kids were small. Now in a truck. Older kids take up less space, lol

Beautiful bike! Looks like you got it all set up for luggage. Any other plans for it? Wait.... I forgot who I talking too... Let me rephrase that. What are you planning for mods / farkles? lol I've read / watched many reviews talking about how great they are to ride, excellent wind...

Advice requested:$35K budget, what are you buying and why?

Agreed. Truck sounds good for hauling stuff. But, 2 kids plus 2 dogs in 1 row of seats will be very, very tight. Especially considering car seats for babies, then as they grow into booster seat there will be tons of stuff to keep them busy on long trips. Lap tables with coloring books...

Advice requested:$35K budget, what are you buying and why?

More as in 1 more? 2 more? 8 more? 2 or more kids plus 2 dogs, I'd say SUV. Kids in the middle row and doggos in the 3rd. We travelled in a two row SUV with two kids and medium sized dog. Young kids take up a lot of room as they need to bring stuff to keep them from getting bored. I don't...

    I'm BACK!!! 2023 F-250 Tremor build

Thank you for the link. I'd have to have something mounted to the frame of the trailer if I went this route. Just don't like the idea of 600 lbs hanging off the back of a trailer that long. Guessing it could cause sway. Easiest solution would be to have a receiver installed on our bronco...

    I'm BACK!!! 2023 F-250 Tremor build

Hope it works for you. Still trying to figure out logistics of being able to bring my bike camping. I think it would fit diagonally in the box. But, it would take up the whole box which we use to haul gear. Frame mounted hitch carrier maybe if I could find one rated for 500lbs. But then...

    KTM's....

Thank you! Lovin it so far. Been out on a few rides now. The cruise control, heated seats and grips are game changers for me. It's a 60 mile round trip commute to work for me and sometimes it's still a little chilly in the mornings. But, what a great way to start a work day! Yes, I...

What kind of backup camera is that? When we bought our trailer last year, it came with a backup camera installed. Not sure if it's the distance from the camera to the screen or just a crappy system but the video looks like it was shot with a 1980's CCTV crossed with a potato. I angled mine up...

What online tools do you use for long (road) trip planning?

Oh maybe? Never thought of app version. I'm using iOS. (Whatever the latest version is) on a iPhone 14. Are you using iOS or Android? Either way, unless I'm missing something, I think I need to find another resource for pre planning routes.

What online tools do you use for long (road) trip planning?

This is my struggle. Just plotted a route today on Google Maps to ride Alberta oldest road with a couple neat historic pit stops: Saved and then send to my phone / email and open it on my phone and this is what I get: So curious what you are all using to plot the route and send to your...

    STUPID IDEA

Those two don't ring a bell... I think my old TV list consisted of: Dukes of Hazzard Rockford Files Airwolf A-Team Fall Guy Simon & Simon Knight Rider The Highway Man Anything really where there was a cool vehicle, lol Well, and of course who didn't love this show:

I've wondered that as well. Curious if there's any rack setup that would somehow allow a motorcycle in the bed and then two kayaks above it?

Great Idea for that Busy Weekend BBQ Chef

Maybe it's propelled by a gasifier system? lol If wood is used for cooking AND mowing, would that make it duel fuel?
