In our Canadian winter's salt and de-icing solutions are layered on the roads which make life of a unibal a bit difficult. if I never lube...
Hahaha. Too funny!! Completely missed that one!! Haha. Having a hard time keeping track between V6/4Cyl/manual/auto.
5.29's for sure :D
I'll check my PM's on CT4WD..haha. ;)
He's still on stock 3.91's in the diffs. We're also at 1,100m in altitude as well. He drive's with a very lead foot... I was impressed with how he was able to get a move on with his Tacoma on 35's. He can definitely pass on hills and keep a very high rate of velocity on the highway :D
At...
If it's an auto... re-gear is mandatory.
The manual you can get away with it. The person that I posted his photo of his Tacoma... he can still pass on hills without a problem with stock gears at 130KM+ on 35's He has 310,000KM on his motor as well.
So in theory you're correct... auto...
Which shouldn't be an issue.. should it?
It's better to ask questions about something that you're not 100% certain than to make a decision and state after.... Shoulda?
A Toyota 4WD with 285's is still very amazing in terms of capability and looks.
Perhaps take a look into armour before...
With 315's on your 03 you'll need to tub your firewall in the front of your cab to get full up travel lock to lock. You can still run a 2" lift after doing the procedure.
This is one of our Member's with 315's on his Tacoma.
If you have the V6 it's not necessary (however, encouraged) to...
Hey thank you Eric! It was a great little day.
Hey that's a great question..
They really don't like the weather here. I usually change them every spring. I also think it's from the wet salty roads, over night it'll freeze inside the cup, then first crank of the steering wheel it messes up...
It really should be hub height from a Toyota's/Tread Lightly perspective! However, there are times when we don't walk the obstacle... :D
Given the electronics in a 4WD these days.. should really be the lowest ECU in the Toyota inside or out. Intake is in the fender and is at a pretty good...
You'll love the tent! It's like a treehouse... every time i open it i get giddy. I was fortunate enough to cram in 30 days in the tent over the spring/summer... I just want to live out of it! I'm hoping to get some ski bumming in this winter with it too :D
Good luck with your tent and rack!
wow mint 4Runner!!
Snow is super fun!
There were a few camera's involved:
Panasonic GH1 HD
Sanyo Xacti 720p Waterproof (they make a 1080 now)
GoPro HD
Anything that Marty was shooting with and the in car was the Xacti. Anything that was non fish eye was the Panasonic and the fish eye...
No complaints! I wanted something to be able to see out the back window but low enough the keep the tent from being a brick. I've gotta hand it to our fab guy Chad, I just told him what I wanted, he CAD'd it up with a pretty cool design (he has a pretty unique style) and it came out like this...
It depends on how well it's built as well.
If it's too purpose built for the rocks, the highway drivability starts to suffer in terms of noise, rattles, heat, speed, and gear carrying. If the person building the Toyota keeps a good balance between very capable and comfortable long distance...
When I reached the last switchback in the Tacoma, I got out and was up to my waist! It was deceiving because the Tacoma floats above the first 1' to 1.5' of snow. :26_7_2:
An Adventure of EXTREME!... haha
Some snow wheeling... :D
