my buddy put 235k on his before he had a coil go out, fixed it, and still humming along without a worry.

Actually I do have a '97 D-I XD worth about the same $$. One Cali female owner, blew head gaskets and we just redid the whole motor, new radiator, etc- ready to go anywhere. I can even add a 2" OME lift if you like... Disco is awesome!!

I've used many shorter XZLs without issue on heavy laden Defenders, and actually have a set of 9x16s on the 130. Their design/technology is about 30years old, so matches the 'mind set' of the Defender. As stated above, they do not compare to modern tires from a ride/performance point of view...

Toyo makes a 285/75-17 in A/T and M/T that are 11.50x34" if that helps( use H2 wheels for cheap)

LRNA is of no help- I have restored more than 20 Defenders, most burnt, and they will not help get copies of VIN plates or stickers. Also have had several dealers assist without results.
