One of my crossbars actually broke on this past trip, the part where the bar connects to the side rail is plastic. I am going to buy some Yakima crossbars and remove the OEM ones. Still use the factory side rails because they are metal.

Tires pretty much killed any hope. I can manage 11-12mpg @ 60mph... but who drives 60mph? Realistically I get 10mpg average.

The rock sliders required no modification. They are weld-on. Install them just as instructed for the Toyota. I got the DOM with Kickout. https://www.4xinnovations.com/955-04-Extended-and-Double-Cab-Tacoma-Rock-Slider_p_72.html The front bumper required cutting off the original mounting surface...

Total Chaos stuff is really good, like PRG, Camburg, etc. There is no doubt that Total Chaos UCA's are good, they are Uniball though, which get noisy and squeeky because dirt gets into them really easily.

SPC UCA's are fairly new, i think they only came out like a few years ago. SPC makes fantastic parts, they are popular with the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Xterra/Frontier groups. Yes, that is the correct part you linked. In case you didnt already know, the Front Suspension is the same as the...

Went on a ~300 mile trip in Northern California called "Lost Coast Adventure". Many cool vehicles were a part of the group ranging from typical cookie cutter Jeep JK's to a very nice Landcruiser 200, cool Subarus and a nice Cherokee Trailhawk. Day 1 was from Ukiah CA to the top of Hull...

Total Chaos is good, but it is Uniball design, which i wanted to avoid. Uniball is strong, but since they are exposed they get dirt in them and wear out, get noisy and clanky. Noisy and clanky suspension is not a good look for a high end luxury vehicle like an Infiniti QX

I dont have a write up, it was really simple to be honest. Just the lights and some wiring is all thats needed. I wired it into the factory rear hatch light so that they LED's come on the same as the factory light, even the factory switch works with them. The hatch panel is very easy to remove...

Radflo does not make a UCA to my knowledge. Icon does, but Radflo only makes the shocks. I went with SPC UCA's because they are best for longetivity since they use a sealed balljoint instead of a Uniball like most other UCA's. I have a Uniball UCA on my other vehicle and it is noisy and I have...

When you remove the seats, there are a good number of bolts that held the seat in you could use to secure the floor to the vehicle. I am going to design it in CAD and post pictures when the design is done.

The HBMC versions have more factory flex than the non-HBMC versions, so that will help you out even if you don't lift it. Also, that's a HUGE freezer ?

I've never had a vehicle under warranty myself, but I have read horror stories about dealers voiding warranties for unrelated things. On the other hand, I dont think I would own another domestic vehicle out of warranty after the nightmare I had with a Caddilac and a Lincoln before that. For...

I also had the Infiniti dealer update the ECM/TCM to the lastest version to see if it improved the shift algorithm. I don't notice a difference to be honest. They charged $210 for 1 hour of labor since it's out of warranty.

Double flushed the transmission fluid yesterday using Aisin brand fluid, apparently it's a premium Synthetic. Also added a bottle of Lubegard Platinum. This transmission has no dipstick and no way for the average person to tell the condition or level. This stupid "filled for life crap"...

At full throttle you can definitely feel those 400 horses, that is not not an issue. On the other hand, at very low throttle like when slowly accelerating around town, there is a noticeable lack of torque. This was an issue before the tires... in order to get the best fuel economy Nissan...

70,000 on it. I too was shocked about the r180. I am not sure of the reasoning behind that decision but I am 100% positive it had to do with the bean counters.

Thanks! I was actually looking for an R51 Pathfinder with a V8 when I stumbled across the Infinitis. I seen one on Craigslist for $15000 but it had like 220,000 miles on it. I stopped by the Infiniti dealer and someone had just traded in one for a brand new 2019 model. So I looked at it and...

I have removed the entire 3rd row and the drivers side seat in the 2nd row, I plan to build custom platform and drawer/storage system using the newly available area. I dont have kids so 3 seats is enough for my needs.
