Many years ago I saw a trailer that was sponsored by Wounded Warriors being pulled behind a Jeep. It had a RTT and a dog kennel HVAC unit mounted at the front of the box. It had the air ducts plumbed threw the bottom of the tent. They had cut two holes in the bottom of the part that mounts...
I built a hold-down and then installed it in a NOCO group 31 battery box. Used 1/4 all-thread and went through the bottom of the tongue box. Its not going anywhere.
Good golly big photos! Sorry.
I didn't bother trying to determine what the issue was. Just got a new harness in the box they sent me. When I got mine they neglected to send the "electrics box", but a quick call to SB and they had it over-nighted to my house. Was surprised to see the harness and instructions telling me to...
As for the mis-wired trailer, mine was as well. SB sent me a new harness to wire in. I chose to make my own out of heavier gauge wire. Upside to this is that I know where every wire goes. Downside is that I feel this is something they should have caught before sending out the back door. But...
I'm on 34's (Tacoma w/ ~3" lift and the trailer has same tires as well) and I am using a Max Coupler. Its pretty dead on straight from hitch to tongue on flat pavement.
It does produce some heat, not enough to be really noticeable while in the truck though. I have had it where some things slid around the vents during a trip and they were warm once I pulled them away, so like any electrical device it does make heat. For me being in central Texas with summer...
Yeah, the ARB is 15 inches wide, the tray is 14.25" or so.. that is to the slides. The door opening is 16" but I'm not that enthusiastic to cut up the slide area for the fridge. Length wise I am right a smidge below 27"... so it would fit. Could I cut it all out and make a tray that slides...
I had hoped to put my ARB 50qt in that same area but its just a little bit too wide. I keep it in the truck which has a dedicated group 31 X2 Power battery and an 85 watt solar panel to keep it topped off when the truck is not running (Mechman 240 amp alternator with a Blue Sea ML-ARC to keep...
Looking good!
If I may ask, what cases are those on the slideout? I have a few Pelican cases and while they are stout, they don't fit nearly as nice as yours does.
I never contacted them. I did however mount a few lightweight items inside the door on a small bracket I made. A shovel and an ax. Not enough weight to cause any damage and it opens and closes fine. But a call to SB should be on my New Years Resolution list just cause, it would be nice to...
I thought about contacting SB and seeing if I could purchase a couple extra hinges for the rear door and add them. But its not the stoutest piece and adding to it is probably a bad idea.
Maybe... mine is the summit series (just purchased new this year) and so far no bending at all. Its "supposed" to be a more heavy duty platform than the standard series tents. Time will tell. Either way I added support for it.
