I like the idea of the D29XL... In fact I like it almost better than the Pro-comp idea. From the eyeball, it was looking like they would need to be re arched to fit them in the dakar pack... I just might go the D29XL route! Time to do some thinking.

Last time I had them serviced, they were ok and did not need to be re-arched, they did replace some of the connectors that had broken, and retaining clips. Last time they were re-arched it was about $30 to $35 per spring IIRC, and had them done at our local spring shop.
Just throwing out a feeler for an 11 pack of Deaver Spring Pack off my '01 Tacoma. Springs are very flexy, and are very close to needing to get re-arched. They were last serviced 25k miles ago. Spring swap is going to happen in the next few weeks once the new ones arrive. Will be asking...
