Below are the main points I left earlier on the thread. Go back to pages 92, 95 and 96 for additional comments, especially Wynn's pictures. He did a better job in locating the mounts. One update, last weekend I decided to try to raise the tent by myself (over 200lbs). No problem at all...
We went on our second trip last weekend and tested out our new dog ramp and electrical set up. The dog ramp was inspired by OregonJKU way back on this thread. We took a ATV dual aluminum ramp at Harbor Freight and converted to a long dog ramp. A little shaky in the middle but worked! And it...
Thank you for your guidance, and just to be clear, you both ran a separate ground wire from the truck/jeep through a 7 pin or some connector to the electrical system in the trailer to use as your ground?
Just starting to put my electrical set up together and was wondering what others were doing to get a good ground connection to the battery? I am building a shelf in the generator compartment for the two GC2 batteries and thinking of using one of the eyelets. Any guidance or shared experience...
Great Pics Hollogon. We also had our maiden voyage (not counting the backyard) to Anza Borrego (So California). We didnt have many pics but we had a wonderful time and very happy with the trailer. My wife and my 7 year old twin daughters cant wait for our next trip. I have a lot of additional...
No, too much would make bringing it down more difficult. We have an awning on one side and we just kept them all the same. Good luck and would be very interested to see how yours turns out!

Jessica at Lift Support Depot was a great help to us
I will see what I can do regarding a video. Originally I got the idea...
One more project was the gas struts to help lift the tent . This was harder than we anticipated. We initially got the idea from the Habitat video (great ideas and hope to buy some of their kits when they come out). Our tent is close to 195 lbs, so my first instincts was to look for 50 lbs...
I wanted to share just a couple of projects we just finished. Before that I do want to thank everybody one more time (and especially Silverback and ebrabaek) who have participated in this thread. The advice and guidance displayed was the tipping point for us to get this trailer.
We wanted to...
Quadratec (on their video) and 4 wheel parts (local representative) said they could only deliver to a commercial address or hub. Northridge 4x4 delivered it to my residence and put it right in my garage with no delivery charge at all. The local 4 wheel parts store did offer to put it together...
This is probably a good place for us to jump in. We recently purchased the trailer in October. We considered several other choices and came very close to buying another (much more expensive) trailer and read this thread that convince us to go with the Scout. I have to pay homage like...
