Antenna ground plane depends on the design. some require a ground other do not. If you looking for a non ground plane the 2 best we have used are these 2.
The cheaper option is the wilson trucker, this is a great one for the price and have very good success with it.
Trucker can be had as cheap...
Excellent! Love hearing about ditching the generator and getting solar. Im impressed that one battery handled it also, I figured the heater fan would have dont more damage.
Nothing like camping all weekend and not hearing a generator. Now if we can just convince everyone else to copy or just...
The problem with that statement is my alternator doesn't make free ice while I drive :)
One other idea you need to think about with a fridge is that ice takes up allot of room in your ice chest, A fridge can hold the same amount of food while being considerably smaller since you dont have ice...
I would instantly abandon your all one Brand idea. That does not work with solar. Most solar panels are all made in china and it does not really matter what panels you get but the charge controller I would stick with morning star, they are my favorite and have a proven track record.
Inverter is...
Yea its weird, I got the same volts as well but I'd check it and it would be off with yellow light flashing when batt was at 12v
Swapped cable and its all good. Had the same problem when I tried using a CIG plug 15' extension
Its not the low voltage shut off its the voltage drop in the wires. Mine had that problem until I ran new wires. I went overboard and ran a 6gauge to the back so I could power other things as well. Run a 12 gauge and you will prob be good.
-cheers
I would get it tested if your worried but I would keep running it if everything seems fine. almost all battery will start to show sines of dieing before they do. Can always get a little lithium jump start kit and leave it in the car.
I have 2 yellow top 35's in mine. Im guessing on this one but...
So im back to messing with my edgestar. My plan was to add another fan with a controllable knob as well but that will need more fine tuning since the internal power supply didnt like the extra current and would turn off the fridge as soo as I added it. ( you can see the knob I added before the...
I have a 4runner and commonly keep my flyrods put together and ready to go but im always worried they will get broken, actually last week one did and someone closed the door on my rod :(
Been trying to think of the best way to keep rods ready to go when im fishing allot and was wondering what...
dang I had no idea edgestar/whynter made a dual zone fridge for so cheap. My current edgestar been lasting me over 4 years and this just seems like a super cool upgrade considering that a name brand version would cost another $1000 on top of that price...
Im not sure if that was the problem, 15.5 does seem very high but ive seem 15.2v from my alternator when its cold and no ill effects have been seen from that.
Thats a bummer since running off 120v is way more inefficient since you need to power the inverter and then the fridge converts 120v to...
x2 on the sure sine. That was the first inverter I thought of when I read your post. Its the most efficient inverter out there, its expensive but its bullet proof and will last you forever.
Most people i know use it on a switch. Just flip the switch to power the power strip.
*Most people use...
For me its my edgestar fridge, I only paid $380 shipped over 4 years ago and its 100% paid for itself in all the money saved not buying ice.
And oh how nice it is when your camping on a cold night and you dont have to stick your hand into a tub of ice water :wings:
My edgestar(not ARB) :peepwall: has been around over 4 years some years non stop, others on and off. One summer it sat for 6months un used:sombrero:
It runs non stop in my 4runner set to 40F, 80watts of solar keep everything charged inbetween uses which is normally a week or so.
Any data used off wifi is not counted toward your data usage so in that sense it has some benafits. all those wifi that have a page to accept the usage you bypass that page and it just works.
Its kinda like ATT users, if you go into mcdonalds it auto connects you with out asking since your...
I just got one of these, I like how it sits lower and has a small lean forward to get more water out. Though Im not very impressed with the wheel feature since the handle does not lock and it want to stand up all the time.
Its like most reliance jugs. The cap has a spigot on the inside that...
