The v8 removal and engine install? Yes in one weekend. It is really very simple. The electrics, fuel, hoses, and "surprises" which cost you the entire next week.
Beautiful! Another nice thing is a little but more weight lower on the truck. I know it's only 4.6 gallons, but anything that lowers the center of gravity is good in my book.

I am going to trim my SD rack. Just trying to decide if off to the side or the back.
Michaels is working on some ideas on how to design the SD rack improvements so it can be put back together and not really be noticeable.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to trim my rack. Did you take just the rear off or did you trim the sides too? I'd like to see a pic of your rack.
I'm thinking about getting a RTT, and just trying to figure out best way to mount it.
I bought a Safari Gard rear bumper for my D1. Came with a steel skid plate which is HUGE. I had already bought an aluminum one from Larry.
I kept the AL one on because of weight and design. I like it. So the $G just sits in the shop.......
