If you guys are referring to the silver tent on the green truck, that one was mounted with Alu-Cab load bars mounted to an Alu-Cab Explorer Canopy....all with out of the box hardware

The awnings are $1,499 and there are a variety of different mounting brackets made by Alu-Cab...so depending on your application there may be an off the shelf solution. PM me if you would like to discuss further

Both will be similar although the Alu-Cab tent comes standard with 6 shoe pockets built into the roof as well as 2 reading lights and a 12v / USB charge center

A fully loaded Khaya camper weighs 1,100lbs...so loaded w/ water, propane, food and camping gear I would estimate 1,500lbs all-in.

Just circling back on this question. All of the aluminum sheeting used in these campers is 2-3mm think (depending on where on the camper you are talking about). What gives it a combination of incredible durability and strength combined with light weight is the frame extrusion...so the sheeting...

Bump for winter builds and new stock

So the rear mount for the SB is different from the LB models. With the LB trucks there is enough bed and the rear OEM bed bolts are back far enough that you can go full internal mount w/ a LB truck and maintain your hitch. However, on the SB trucks we found that in harsh, real-world testing...

No problems at all. The heater works just fine w/ the bed platform in the down position...and both the main platform and the rear platform can be down...although leaving the rear platform up will offer a bit more heat flow in general...Let me know if you have any other questions.

I checked w/ our main US distributor and they did not have that level of detail. We will have to inquire w/ Alu-Cab engineering, but they are off through Jan/07 for mandatory vacation (South African Union thing). Check back w/ me in January and I'll see what I can find out.

No need to have beefed up suspension for the Canopy Campers...they only weigh about 350-450lbs depending on options. Adding something like Timbren bump stops may be a good idea and only cost about $200
