Our first trip to Moab from my 9yo's perspective

I was there with my 2 sons (8 and 10) from Oct 21-25. Gees, that's too bad. We stayed at the Moab River RV Resort in my new to me popup trailer (20 yrs old). We actually met up with my best friend from Fresno, CA (lifted 4th Gen T4R) who also went through Bryce on Oct 19/20. Ha!

    CB Radio ideas

Just for fun, here is what I did with my Cobra 18WXSTII: Many of the guys I run with have Cobras and most of us swear by the value/performance ratio.

    Inspire me with R50 Pathfinders

Wow, a bit off topic for the thread, but I'll go with it. This is also a topic that will give rise to MANY opinions, so I'm careful with my response...but there were actually a lot of pluses and minuses that needed to be weighed before plopping one on my rig, and "looks" had nothing to do...

    Inspire me with R50 Pathfinders

I feel like you and I are the R50 fan club Andrew!!! This is my absolute favorite 4WD vehicle. I've gone from Chevy K-5, to Chevy S-10, to Jeep XJ, to Nissan Pathfinder. It is amazingly capable with just "slight" modifications (2" coil lift and decent tires). I have also found the...

    Outdoor Kid Photo Thread

Top of Cascade Creek Trail, CO Top of Devils Canyon Trail, CO Heading in to Telluride, CO Heading in to Ouray, CO I asked the wife to scan our old photos of me with my oldest son (when he was only 1 year old) staring over the edge of Toroweep Overlook (Grand Canyon, North Rim). I never...

Family Adventure Rig - Planning Stages

Well, I've only done the SUV thing, but still wanted to post up... 1st by using the Pathfinder to find cool camping spots and setting up our tent/table/chairs/fire ring (is that a base camp?). (Started hitting Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Capital Reef, Zion NP...w/our 1 year old boy) 2nd...

    Pros/Cons 20030 QX4

My addition to that? Ditto!!! Our rigs are almost identical from the factory except for color. My only difference in modifications is tire size (which I wish I had thought harder about 3 years ago and at least gotten 32's!) and the fact I replaced my the OE stereo with an aftermarket head...

    Pros/Cons 20030 QX4

Yep, almost pooped myself the first time I took a speed bump too fast and the struts topped! It definitely got better in the 1st year - agreed. Please don't feel like 01silva and I are hijacking the thread, I think we just both agree that these rigs are cool in their own way. He's way ahead...

    Pros/Cons 20030 QX4

Automotive Customizers (AC) makes a 2" coil spring lift kit with optional front struts and rear shocks. NX4 (Canada) has fabricated a front strut spacer, but it is only 1". There are also options (e.g. Mr. Gasket) for a rear coil spacer, but I've heard they compress too much to be of much use...

    Pros/Cons 20030 QX4

Here's another option for sliders for the R50: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/RockSliderZ.shtml#NPF KMA also has an option for a rear bumper/carrier, but I just don't know much about that company. Also, if a vendor has the ARB in stock (I think AC had them in stock last year), they only...

    Pros/Cons 20030 QX4

I agree with 01Silvapathy (rims look good!), I think this rig is completely overlooked and underestimated. I have the same 2" lift with 31's and it is crazy capable with some decent driving. I'm also in the process of piecing my 4" SFD and will be going with 33's. There are several companies...

    R50 Pathfinder lift topping out?

Yeah. I didn't know until I installed my lift also - I only researched available lifts...didn't find useful forums until well after install. I almost pooped myself the first time I took a speed bump a little fast. I found that slowing down for bumps/drops and avoiding potholes has helped a...
