    70 series- engine choice

Used to have a 1HZ with aftermarket turbo and intercooler in my previous Landcruiser (HZJ105 series), now have the 4.5 single turbo V8 in my VDJ79 series that I replaced that vehicle with...i’d take the V8 any day of the week, and that was before I got the motor remapped and doubled it’s...

    4WD Action On Youtube

It's not a bad watch... myself and family even appear in one of thier old Moreton Island videos. The reason 35's are as big as the tyres are and lifts not that big, is because that's pretty much as big as you can legally go in Australia on the roads, sometimes more like a 33" tyre and 2" lift is...

    Stretched 79 + truck camper

14.4mtrs is the official figure given, let's just say it's woeful whatever the measurement is....i think my previous 105 series Landcruiser was around a 11.0 mtr turning circle as a comparison. The vehicles are coil front and leaf rear.

Not the best pic of my vehicle, but it is the latest... just returned from the Aussie outback, here's our free camp at Ayres Rock / Uluru. Was great that both my kids (and myself again) got to climb the rock before it's closure to doing so next year.

    Exploring Australia From The Left

Always interesting seeing a visitors take on the area you live and grew up in (Brisbane). Fraser Island is a beautiful place and a shame you didn't go visit it, though being 120klm long a one day visit does it no justice at all. Regarding the Red-bellied Black snake you saw....yes they are...

    Fly and Drive

Out of curiosity more then I can likely help you...new or used?, what sort of vehicle are you thinking of getting (i assume a 4wd, but if so you wanting a wagon or something like a troopie?, how set up are you wanting it / what do you want on and in the vehicle?, what sort of budget roughly were...

    Stretched 79 + truck camper

If the turning circle wasn't bad enough before the stretch, can't imagine it now...lol....i'm saying that as a 79 dual cab owner myself by the way. Looks like a great set up though to tour the country in.

it would have come complete with the dent above the rear wheel arch that I put in it right where that pic was taken (even though the front guard looks close to hitting, but it wasn't that one)...lol.

Land Cruiser 100 series - long range fuel tank

Maybe try contacting LRA here in Australia if Longranger won't reply, they are a different company to Longranger (one is from the state of NSW and the other Victoria I think from memory) and they do bigger fuel tanks for 100 series. I have no idea if they'd be willing to send stuff to your...

    79 series dual cab build

i don't miss it's gutless 1HZ engine, but I do miss it being more comfortable from a coils all round perspective when going off-road, aswell as more room inside the old vehicle. I do prefer the canopy on the back of my 79 over the wagon set up I had and certainly prefer the V8 in the new...

    79 series dual cab build

It took much longer then i had hoped, but the Cruiser now has some new rims and rubber on it now. The vehicle is now running some ROH Octagon 17X8" rims instead of the factory 16X7" rims it comes with, and it's gone from basically road LT tyres to a set of Nitto Grappler muddies BEFORE AFTER

    79 series dual cab build

I'm loving the vehicle myself, but it's not without it's faults...the turning circle is diabolical to say the least, wish it was more like my old 105 series in that regard
