I get that. And I'm not trying to sell him on anything. He asked and I answered. Nomad_Games: Have you ever seen any of the old Warren Miller ski movies? This is was his Motel Deluxe while filming: Tony

anyone done long term #trailerlife with a teardrop or similar?

We don't winter camp with our 'drop at least not here in Idaho. My days of snow camping are behind me. (Even though we have a Propex heater in our new camper.) But we do head south in late winter. Tony

anyone done long term #trailerlife with a teardrop or similar?

We've been teardrop camping for nineteen seasons. 20 -35 nights a year. With a teardrop, you cook outside. You (generally) eat outside. They are a superb bed-on-wheels. If you like being outside and but really need a comfy bed, they are for you. I watch a member of the Jayco crowd once. It...

What type of plywood for trailer build?

You can take a scrap of Baltic birch plywood, be it 1/8", 1/2" or 3/4" and throw it in a bucket of water for a week. Pull it out and let it dry for a week or two. It will be intact. Don't confuse Baltic birch plywood with "cabinet" grade birch. Tony

I have always bought my doors and windows from Vintage Technologies. Challenger Doors is another source you might look at. Tony

Carrying Propane - exchangeable 20lb tank versus 2 smaller tanks

An 11 pounder gets us through about 25 nights. That's with a Propex heater and a Partner stove. Do you really need 20 pounds? Tony

Criminy. This validates my habit of ordering direct from Dexter. T

I'll be curious if they actually do that. Let us know. T

    CNC Teardrop Cutting Files

I've had a fair amount of interest in DXF files instead of the SVG files I uploaded. I just did a test of a DXF file I converted over to make sure Inkscape didn't mess with the dimensions. Worked perfectly. The dados for the cross members are .72" in the design and when cut, they are still...

    CNC Teardrop Cutting Files

I've been working on CNC files based on last summer's build. Here's a great way to wear out a perfectly good pen while test driving a file: The files are limited to the skeleton pieces, exterior skins, hatch ends, galley lip, and roof blocking. Even though the profile is or a 126" long...
