Quick clarification: 235 is width of tire / 85 is sidewall distance / 16 you know 16 is ;) Width of ire does not affect gear ratio, the middle number does. Yes, the tires currently on my truck are 255/85, i suggest you go with 255/70 or 75 (not sure what is being manufactured). This will help...

255/85 will rub slightly with a 2" lift. Also at 85 size, there is a noticeable loss of power 255/70 will not rub (even stock, i think) I have around 2" inch lift up front and 2.5" in the back that levels out when loaded heavily and i didn't do a diff drop. Ive been running it for almost 20k...

Thanks, Box Rocket! Has anyone used the weatherhood here? Are they worth the cost? I see nothing about them on the net, they must be new. If tepui wants to give me a good deal on one, i can do a longterm review on it! i'll be living out of one for a couple months!

Hideous might of been a strong word. The woodland camo is the one i'm more referring to ;) How did it do in the cold? Do you have the weatherhood?

what is the big difference between the Tepui Ayer and the Baja Series Tepui Ayer? Also why is the Kukenam SKY more expensive than the hideous camo version of the Kukenam SKY?

i have the same tires on my 3rd Gen 4runner, not too noisy, great on different sorts of terrain and they look good. Love them, but it whacks the car out of its power band for automatics. I think 255/75 is what i'll switch to and put the 255/85s on my LR defender. The tire size would be perfect...

Dont buy Britpart for anything mechanical for like stuff that that moves or articulates. Plastic bits and trim, but wouldn't do much more.

Where is the 4runner made these days? The quality control of the Japanese built trucks was much better compared to the North American built trucks, at least a couple years ago it was pretty obvious.

Thanks for the information. Yes, the biggest upgrade i want to do is the JDM tire carrier and tailgate. I don't really care for the looks of the after market tire carriers, the tire sits too far out and/or it is angled too much. I'm surprised by the fender mirror, because there was never a LHD...

So did you collect these parts when you were in Japan? So do have details on the tire carrier? How hard was that to install, are the mounting brackets already in place for it in the pillar? Do you ave any photos of the install? Where did you get the JDM spoiler? Did the holes line up? ALSO...
