Nice lift hooks, that puts the COG right under your butt.

Is there an In Progress Adventures thread or a blog somewhere?

    Ordering a new Tacoma

I'd just order an SR5 and equip it with ARB air lockers. You probably don't need or want all that tracton control stuff that comes on the TRD models.

    Expedition Overland 2013 Tacoma Build

Truck looks great! I enjoyed all of your previous episodes and am looking forward to the new series. It would be awesome if a network picked up your series and helped you with the funding.

    Home brew dual battery tray

Here's an idea: obtain an old road sign and cut out your own bracket to fit - one bottom, one top. You could hold them together with threaded rods and nuts. There are some good designs at tacomaworld that can be found with a search of that site. I got my most recent road sign from my local...

    Auto to Manual Conversion

Totally not worth it for a 20 year old truck, way too much screwing around junk yards, unless of course thats your thing.

    What a great truck. :smiley_drive:

    2nd gen Tacoma Seats

Geeze, I would look at modifying the existing head rests in the TRD seats before looking at super expensive replacement seats. Why couldn't you just bend the headrest support bars back a little? Might require taking the headrest appart and putting it back together but a lot less work and money...

    CJ-7 Off road/MX hauling trailer

Looks good. Some of your attached pictures in your last couple posts are not showng up though.

Wow!! No disrespect to Taco owners. . .

If you really want to do a front wheel bearing change on a 2nd Gen Tacoma in the field, you shoud just carry a spare bub with the bearing already installed. Otherwise you'd have to be pretty creative with some sort of a press you could use in the field.

Cowboy 4x4 off road CT build

Right on, you might be able to bolt a 6-bolt hub right on to your existing 3500 lb axle. I was checking this very thing out and saw that these are available: http://www.easternmarine.com/dexter-brake-drum-hub-k08-250-90 I can't tell if the bolt pattern on your axle is the same as on the 3500...

Cowboy 4x4 off road CT build

Did you just change the hubs for the 6 bolt or did you swap out the entire axle? Trailer looks great.

    Goodyear Authority AT

I was at my local Walmart having a look at these in a 235/85R16 the other night and was impressed by how they look in person. I'm thinking of getting a set of these for winter as they have the mountain/snowflake symbol so are rated as a true winter tire. Too bad they don't come with the holes...

    Good A/T for snow?

These look like a decent tire in a 235/85R16: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Goodyear-Wrangler-Authority-Tire-LT235-85R16/11983158 Sorry for the big picture

    235/85r/16?

235/85-R16 with 1" spacers will allow me to run those chains - very nice! I think I may sell my current 265/75-R16 Yokohama Geolander IT winter tires and try the 235's with spacers.

    245/75-16 or 265/75-16 on 3rd Gen 4Runner?

I love the ride, quietness, handling, and fuel mileage that I am getting with my 245/75/16 Michelin Latitude Tour tires on my 05 Tacoma SR5. They are a fantastic size for real world highway driving, which is 99.99% of what I do with my truck. If I did more offroad I would go with the...
