    Where can I shoot?

Definitely look into the laws of any state you are traveling to or through. Unfortunately reciprocity between states changes fairly often, which means it is up to responsible gun owners to make sure they are staying in compliance. I would definitely look into getting a few CCPs. Usually if you...

    Fair price on 98 XJ

Thanks for your thoughts. As far as attachment it has been a great vehicle, but I haven't driven it regularly for a few years now and I guess I am thinking I need to either pull it into the garage and start chipping away at it, or get it to someone else who can use and enjoy it. If I do list...

    Fair price on 98 XJ

Hi all, I am hoping you all can give me an idea on a fair price to try to get for my 98 XJ. I am considering posting it locally and want to put it out there for a reasonable price. She's still got plenty of life left and I would like to pass that on to the next person to enjoy. It is...

First Foray into 4Runners - My 1st Gen Build

Ha I can totally appreciate that. I will be in the market for one in a few years hopefully, let them get the kinks worked out and have the platform in the public and aftermarket hands for a few years.

92 Isuzu pickup reality check / build

Well, I am learning that I hate vacuum lines. I have been consistently getting a little stutter in the idle and also low in first and second gear. I picked up some new vacuum lines and have been replacing a few that seem suspect, to no real improvement yet. I have also fussed with the idle...

    wife became a vegetarian

My girlfriend is vegetarian and I have been changing my diet quite a bit because It is just easier to make one dish. Plenty of veggie burritos, veggie thai dishes, casseroles, soups, etc. I am also highly impressed by some of the meat substitutes now. The beyond patties and sausage are great and...

First Foray into 4Runners - My 1st Gen Build

Just got up to speed on your thread and you definitely pulled this truck from the weeds and it looks amazing! I appreciate the DD style of the build, or maybe oem plus would be a good term? Either way, awesome work!

92 Isuzu pickup reality check / build

The truck is running a lot nicer now that it is actually getting warmed up properly! I’m excited to keep working through the maintenance stuff this winter and planning some short camping trips for spring to test her out!

Well finally got around to replacing the thermostat today. I mentioned before that the truck would never read over C on the temp gauge. I determined the gauge was working, so decided the next step was to replace the thermostat. Here’s the engine bay taken down to the point where I could get...

So the bars don't expand, they are a set width, there is just a channel on the underside of the bar that gives you a range to mount them. I think they would be stable for your F-150, maybe even more so because the "foot" of the brackets would fully sit on the larger bed rails of the F-150 vs...

92 Isuzu pickup reality check / build

A quick question for you all, does anyone have any good, inexpensive recommendations for mounting equipment to the rack? On the passengers side I am thinking about mounting a set of recovery boards and a small shovel so they aren't just floating around in the truck bed. I think I will just zip...

Now was the moment of truth whether my triple measuring was successful. If not I could always put more holes in the bottom of the Thule box, but I prefer not to. A few minutes lifting it on and wiggling it around, and it lined up great! Here is the clearance between the truck window and the back...

Another update, I did receive the new rails for the truck bed, and Sunday night got around to getting them installed. It took me about 2 hours, due to lots of measuring and remeasuring before I drilled and bolted down the vertical brackets. I had to space them to fit the Thule box. Below is a...

92 Isuzu pickup reality check / build

Small update Just had a pretty decent snowstorm hit yesterday and the roads were an absolute mess. My Alltrack did pretty well all things considered, but I may be shifting some funds over sooner rather than later to upgrade the stock tires to a set of Falken Wildpeaks, which would likely put...

    Old truck exploring.

That is a beautiful truck and I love the simplicity! Plus that desert landscape is amazing! I really enjoy getting back to basics. I think sometimes all the additional equipment, gear, modifications, etc. just start to detract from the experience. You start worrying more about your expensive...

Thanks for the tip on Rockauto, I will take a look at that for parts compatibility!

92 Isuzu pickup reality check / build

Good point, I hadn't thought too much about that. Once I get the bed rack in I will give that a shot and see how it looks. I will probably just need to leave a little more of a gap between the back of the cab and the cargo box to access the lock and open the box, but that wouldn't be a big deal

92 Isuzu pickup reality check / build

That is my plan once I get around to new tires, crank the torsion bar up a bit to level it with the back, new tires, and an alignment. I was also thinking about shocks from one of the models you mentioned. I am trying to research parts compatibility on things like that
