Hey I didn’t say it’d be fun, but it’s *possible* haha. That’s good enough for me.

I'm in St. George area. Infinite trails here. @Brad_UT I probably won't be able to until after June 30, I'm moving into a new shop. Any time after then is good with me!

I bought them as a business directly from Hutchinson, they don't sell them retail. I have a contact there if you are serious about buying some, I can dm you his info.

Looks like we need to do a Utah meetup with all these rigs around here lately haha. I'm in the middle of moving but I think after, we need to set something up, get a few coolers of beverages, and break these trucks in properly.

Oh yeah bud they’re heavy af. But I dig them, I knew they’d be the only choice for my build. It was a pain in the ass getting them but having that ability to mount my own tires makes it worth it to me.

I think they're about 140lbs each. They're heavy. They are a variant of the MRAP wheels yeah, they have the tapped outer ring they mount the light armor things to. They aren't the mil surplus version you can find on eBay or whatnot.

Yeah this one bolted into the existing nuts welded inside the frame crossmembers. Same deal. The truck is just so heavy if you hit the tank just right on a rock/stump or something like that you could definitely rip it off. You’d have to be doing some pretty gnarly terrain though. The tank itself...

Quality seems very good. Yeah the line-x coating was extra. I think about $200 more. I wasn't going to get the line-x but they had one in stock, the non-coated one was like 16-20 weeks out or something. Had I known how long I'd be sitting around waiting on other stuff anyway, I would have just...

Yeah, transferflow told me the same thing, but I decided to go for it anyway. So far I’ve driven about .5 miles since I installed it, so I can’t say for sure haha. It did transfer fuel from the aft tank to the new midship fine though. Since the midship was empty after I installed it. I’ll let...

Post a build thread man I'm curious about your battery bank. 11kwh is nice. Which fridge did you go with? Your truck looks awesome dude.

I'm in St. George area in Utah. Great place for anyone wanting to test out their torsion-free subframe mounting lol.

Looking really nice man! We're doing the same things at the moment, though you're a bit ahead of me. I just got my whole solar/battery bank/electrical setup purchased. Have about half of it sitting here. When the batteries and panels arrive I'm going to set it up temporarily in the garage on...

Installation with the AEV Highmarks was fairly straightforward and instructions were pretty good. They look great and feel quality. Only real downside is they’re just not that wide, mine cover exactly half of the tire. I’m planning to make a little extender to go out another inch or so, and I...

Small update on the truck, not much work actually going on at the moment, mostly just a ton of CAD, taking measurements, ironing out final designs for the front suspension components. Did swap out the 22gal OEM midship fuel tank for a 50gal Transerflow tank. This is a steel tank coated with...

One of my goals for this build is to fab as many parts as possible in-house so I intended to start with the control arms. However since @Brad_UT already did the leg work calling Core 4x4 and asking for custom control arms, Core ended up putting the arms on their full time menu. The cost for me...

Haha about half, if that. I'm gonna make about a 1" extender to cover a little more but I'm not too worried about it, they're so wide anything that gets kicked up will probably miss the side of the truck entirely lol.

Little more progress after buttoning up the fender flares, truck is almost drivable with no lift and haven’t moved the axle forward yet. It only rubs at full lock with some compression but I can maneuver it around the driveway just fine. Ordered some replacement parts for the grille/fascia to...

Yeah I think the AEVs look fantastic and they feel super nice and sturdy. They don’t cover the whole tire which I’m ok with. I’ll probably make some kydex extenders to bring them out about another inch.

Started making clearance up front for the 41s. AEV has you do a lot of trimming, gives you a ton of room tho. Cut about a 4” chunk out of the rocker. Relief cuts on the pinch welded seams and flatten those down, makes a lot of room.
