3/4" Marine plywood was a thought, but at the end of the day, I ran the numbers and the time invested in ripping down the plywood at 70 bucks a sheet for the good stuff, the poplar only cost me an extra 30-50 bucks and was much easier on me at the end of the day. I wound up with 12 each 1x3x16...

So the pine furring strips were HORRIBLE. NEVER buying that crap again. Ripped it all off and spent the big money for finger joint 1x3 and 1x4 poplar. MUCH improved strength and workability. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
