    Best Camper Shells

No, that's home made. No experience with Belair, but I'm sure you can find some online. They are slide-ins, and pretty heavy.

Hierarchy of hard sided campers that handle the snow/winter?

Look at Bigfoot and Northern Lite. No slide. They advertise as 4 season, and have a durable shell and fewer places to leak.

    What Tundra do you recommend?

Sadly this is true of everything made now... actually it's even worse. All the midsize trucks now have tall hoods as well. The 2nd gen Tundras at least have short hoods, though they are quite tall. Guess we just need to install forward cameras to see where we are going on the trail...

    What Tundra do you recommend?

^^^ Gen 2 (07-21) Tundras have a smaller turning radius than Gen 1 though... by a good amount... and it's less than any domestic full size. You can even get Gen 2 with a double cab and 8' bed... ;) I jacked the following dimensional comparison from a Tundra site. I think it would have been a...

2022 Ford F550 - DIY - Adventure Expedition Vehicle Build Thread

... his comedy of how not to do things... 🤪 Regarding the "full width door" it's quite stiff and strong being mostly carbon and weighing 70 lbs. Unfortunately it's also warped a bit (~0.25" out of plane?) plus I compounded the issue by not having the top where the hinges attach, perfectly in...

    Wheel/Tire recommendations for Isuzu NPR?

You are correct, in a 37 an e-load will usually be 3750 lbs at 65 psi. But it sounded like you'd be well under that. And 38 or 40" have a higher rating. The Founders tires you linked are 68mph, 6600 lb @120 psi. I'm pretty certain the 37-40s will ride better and give you more options. The...

    Wheel/Tire recommendations for Isuzu NPR?

Cool project! Will be good to see it come together. Is there a reason you aren't getting super singles in a common size so you can use standard tires? 20" are pretty common, and you could use 37-40" tires. 4k lb per should be plenty. IME in the west, ground clearance is most important (even vs...

    Expedition Ready! 2020 F250 on 37s, Locked F/R, 4.30 Gears, HP D60, PSC Hydro, FOX 2.5" + Camper - 875W Solar - Lithium - 40g H2o! - Arizona - SOLD

With my Tundra I had to flip the front forks around, which is easy enough to do, and I also raised the platform as high as possible. Just barely fits with a L Kona Unit and 29x3" tires. Very nice rig! Hope you sell it soon, Peter...

    Starlink or Other Recommendation?

Based on what I've been able to find out, Starlink is the only choice. If you want to use it while in motion the plan for that quite expensive. A $2500 dish, and $250/mo for 50GB of mobile priority data... vs $600 and $120 or $150/mo unlimited with the other plans. I don't know if anyone has had...

Is Offroading in a SuperDuty Really That Bad?

^^^ The actual size is 285/75r18 (8" rims are fine). Not a 35x12.5... which usually specs a 8.5-11" rim.

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

I'd like to see how they are made. I thought it would be a structural sandwich, but I guess not. 1/4" is thick... a sandwich panel would be more like 1/8" on a side with nothing but foam in the middle.

    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

I didn't realize you were talking about the spare! Sometimes you can deflate and ratchet strap them. If you go "light" on the cab you can fit them behind it, also.

    StoryTeller Overland GXV Hilt

I didn't see any declaration of bankruptcy... just shutting down... directly after a 3-year massive boom in sales.
