    LR3 rear diff oil

Hey guys, I'm embarking on a 5,000 mile journey in 2 days. Found a small leak in the rear diff where the CV enters. It's not activily dripping at all, but there's definitely some fresh oil on the diff after a long drive. I just had them serviced with fresh oil along with all the other fluids...

LR4 Hidden Winch: HF DIY Install

Cont. I cut the center out of the bumper support and reinstalled the corners so I had some reinforcement and the mounting for the washer bottle. Anyway, all is reinstalled, winch is wired up and runs great. Everything is pretty clean and it is very hidden.

LR4 Hidden Winch: HF DIY Install

Resurrecting the dead again. Just finished my hidden winch. Used this post as my guide, so thank you and ran into my own small batch of snafus that I figured I’d share. Everything started off all peachy. Going as planned and exactly as the previous posts stated. That was until I tried to...

Looking for advice from seasoned adventurers

Thanks for all the intel guys. Great info here. @Blaise , yeah, I know I've got a lot planned. I will certainly look into Alpine Loop (if open) and white Rim as we are going up through Moab now and then cruising down into Zion and staying in that area. Our original stops have deviated a bit...

You read my mind. I’ve sporadically booked a hotel room here and there when we’re closer to town. Give the wifey and kiddos a break. Thanks!

Good call brother, I plan on bringing my sat phone as well, as I know comms work in the opposite of how badly you need them. I have folks that I know throughout the trip so I will set some phase lines and check in times. We're never venturing too far off the beaten path, but I know things can...

Looking for advice from seasoned adventurers

Cool, thanks for the tips. Great minds think alike. It just came out of the shop with all fluids, trans, diffs, T-case, and engine being replaced. Tires are new with a new, full size spare, and tools and spare parts mirror basically what I've put together. I've got a dometic dual zone...

Looking for advice from seasoned adventurers

Thanks and your concerns about the rig mirror my own. I’ve had it since a certified lease turn in from Land Rover. She’s in good working order and I just did a coil/strut conversion (don’t bash me LR purists ?) I’ll definitely look into the BDR. Appreciate it.

Looking for advice from seasoned adventurers

Hey fellow LR lovers, I posted this in the adventure planning section as well, but thought that I might get some better response from those who share the same love/hate relationship with our Land Rovers. As the title states, I'm looking to you seasoned vets to help me plan a trip. I've been...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

For any of my Jiu-Jitsu breathren out there. I was joking with our CrossFit neighbors that their Land Rovers and ours kind of look the same as their pretty ears and our ugly, cauliflower ears. ?????

    Decisions, decisions

I do have a 2 row-er only. I’m more of a Jameson man myself so I’ll be packing some big ice cubes in my Dometic freezer, but I did just install this.

Guys, Thanks for all the advice. Rack came in and is installed. Very happy with everything thus far. And I had a great helper giving me morale support.

Roger that, thanks! Yes please, the link would be appreciated. Yeah, my rack will be strictly a gear hauler. No RTT for me as the wife has to pee 1,000 times a night and we travel with the 7 and 4 year old two legged creatures and my 4 legged fur creature. We've been using a Napier SUV tent...

    Decisions, decisions

@Victory_Overland Yes, I heeded everyone’s advice. I got the wind fairing, double Jerry can bracket with one gas can and one water can, spare tire holder (as I don’t have my rear bumper and swing arm. . . Yet) a couple of tie down eyelets and one of their boxes with the lockable bracket. Will...

    Decisions, decisions

Gents, Thank you very much for all the help. I bit the bullet yesterday and went with the Front Runner. Between all that I read, availabilty, accessories and customer service it was the rack that fit my need the best. Once it is in I'll post pics. Thanks again

    Decisions, decisions

I'm in the market for a roof rack for the LR3. I've done as much searching and reading as I can on the forum and think I have narrowed it down to the Front Runner slim, full rack and the Baja full length rack. Any of you salty owners out there with one or the other, I'd like to hear your pros...
