Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I still have not found a solution to the antenna problem. I replaced the original with a stubby which worked fine until the installation of the CC.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Hi Jack: We went for the Prime upgrade with shadow awn, table, shower cube, molle plates with Rotopax fuel tanks, and Expedition Essentials external propane tank mount which holds an 11-pound tank. On the front bumper is a receiver winch. It can be removed and put on the rear receiver if needed...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

We did some social distancing over the weekend, camping on the Yampa River. I think we were more than 10 miles from the nearest building. I tried to attach photos but each time it said the files were too large. They were taken on my iPhone. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Answer: the nuts that fit are called "jam nuts" and they are thinner and will fit in the channel. Available at hardware store.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I have another question: Where do I source nuts that fit in the channels? The 8mm and 5/16nuts from my hardware store are too deep to fit in the channel. The bolt heads fit, but not the nuts. I'd like to have several on hand to do a mod when the idea hits me.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Sirius/XM antenna reroute? The camper extends over and blocks the Sirius/XM antenna causing frequent signal loss. I have a Chevy Colorado with a stubby screw-in antenna at the back of the roof. Anyone tried to re-route the antenna? Thanks!

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Just took delivery of our Canopy Camper. The 3-hour drive from Denver to Steamboat Springs was great. Josh at Juniper Overland was very easy to work with and very helpful. A couple of issues: The rods that bend and keep the tent flap tightly deployed are L-shaped on one end (I see where these...
