Exped Megamat Duo 10 torn after zero trips

I’ve had mine for 3 years and have treated pretty rough no issues whatsoever. It’s a mat I have complete confidence in sorry to hear you got a lemon. I’ve seen two other reports of failure both were air bubble on the top one in this forum and one on Amazon reviews. If I were you I’d get it...

Has anyone mounted an AluCab Shadow 270 awning to an EziAwn K9 rack?

Alu cab shows awning to K9 in their fitment manuals but it’s clearly a bracket they have made. Talk to Rin at ok4wd he will know if and why they quit making the brackets. Honestly it looks like a tough one.

    Question for you RTT owners

Also set up and take down on a folder at roof height is a complete pain imo as soon as a switched to a canopy on my Tacoma I bought a clamshell.

    Question for you RTT owners

TN I’ve got a baroud horizon vision for sale $700. For weight and footprint it’s hard to beat but like I said I’m still a hard no I’m not trying to pimp it. I’ve loaded and unloaded it by myself and actually ended up doing vehicle damage unloading it’s just hard to do with a 5’x5’ square. But I...

    Question for you RTT owners

I’m sure it’s been done and I’ve seen some neat ideas here for people getting them on and off their roofs but I’m a hard no way. It’s the size even more than the weight you inevitably will do damage to your vehicle(don’t ask me how I know) and the hassle factor of mounting and unmounting after...

How do you carry your fly rods?

I used to have a rod vault they worked great but the roof space has been taken up by other things so now I just use Velcro straps mounted to the ceiling of my canopy.

    Waterport, what am I missing?

Also I looked at the rinse kit I’m sure it works for some. I like the waterport because 3 gallons is a perfect quantity for me for my typical trip, I can pressurize with compressor/schrader valve,it’s easy to refill with a funnel and my 3 gallon aquabricks and it’s very portable. Those are my...

    Waterport, what am I missing?

Ben I just went and checked mine out of curiosity it had a fresh 3 gallons I filled to 40psi yesterday about this time ran about a half gallon of water through it doing dishes and clean up right now it’s at 25. With all the pressurized tanks the more air space the longer the pressure seems to...

    Waterport, what am I missing?

I’ve never used the rinse kit. I had the original road shower and the zodi extreme before the waterport. I don’t have the pump with the waterport I pressurize with a compressor and it keeps pressure better than anything I’ve used. I only put 3 gallons in and usually pressure to 40 it will hold...

Hardtop Clamshell vs Pop-Up RTT Differences

I drove around plenty with my clamshell deployed no issues. I also think the “extra” interior volume in a clamshell is for the most part worthless. I do like the tent style posted above especially in a hard shell version.

Hardtop Clamshell vs Pop-Up RTT Differences

I’ve only had the clamshell style ease of setup was my biggest draw to it but I don’t have enough experience with the other style hard shells to compare. Ideally if you can set up both styles crawl up in them and see what you think. I had the alu cab it was great in wind and weather set up was...

    Ammo Can Campfire

As I regular gravel bar overnight float trip camper this is pretty awesome. When I can handle the weight and the space I’ll take my snowpeak medium and a Wolfpack full of pre cut heat treated wood I can usually make it stretch 2/3 nights. When I’m in a smaller boat one of the smaller fire pits...

Setup time for Springbar-style tents vs. Nylon

I only have the little 2 person kodiak set up time is similar to my marmot 3 person that I use as my gravel bar/canoe tent but it is slightly more cumbersome. they are great tents but if I was setting up and breaking down daily and had the roof space I would get the oztent. free standing(this is...

    Smaller camp stoves?

Me too Buddha. I’ve got a spot in my drawers that holds 6 of the butane bottles or 4 of the green propane bottles I usually switch back to butane when I take my buddy heater out of the drawers and it’s always too early. So I guess what I mean to say is some people (me) never learn....

    Smaller camp stoves?

Another vote for the single burner catering type butane stoves.i have a buddy with the Iwatani like posted above I’ve got the gas one. Great heat control, cheap and durable as heck. Make sure you get one with a propane adapter those butane cylinders don’t do well at all in cold weather.

Tent Bed Options for Sleeping Together

That’s weird tanto I’ve had the exact opposite experience with the expeds. I just let it self inflate no top off nice and cushy and still keeps my side sleeping rotund body/hip off the ground. I’ve never found another pad I could do that with but everyone is different and that’s why so many...
