    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

I feel your pain, I was soo soo close to smashing mine when I scraped the front sliders last trip and broke my blue leg handle. I was luckily able to climb under, move some rocks and stick them under the tire to prevent it from damaging them by rolling it upward and away from scraping. Little...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Yea same, It was a great easy and clever temp fix though! I think I'll eventually just buy a premade jerrycan mount and bolt it on. Easy enough without all the cool fab skills and tools I've seen on here. I am handy enough, just don't have all the right tools unfortunately.

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

I haven't noticed mine being awefully loose and mine didn't move after some pretty wild offroading. I just tightened my threads on the clamp as much as possible and might cut the bolt down to gain another inch of tightening. I do want to move mine so I can fit a Jerry can next to it though...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Yea I was super annoyed, $60k caravan and no Bluetooth??? When your in there for service ask about that, maybe they had a mixup in a run or something, I want them to send me out a Bluetooth unit so I don't have to buy one myself.

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Well I just got back from our maiden voyage to the Ozarks with my Dweller 15' and am here to go over all the things I experienced and I definitely tested it to its limits off-road ?. Overall impression though is I love this caravan and it made camping so enjoyable for the whole family, we feel...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Yea @WillySwan did a ton of research trying to find a good bolt on option in post #90. Super grateful for him looking into it all and searching extensively. I am sure many of us would love better shocks that can handle the off-road abuse without overheating. Unfortunately the options are very...

Have you considered a dedicated electric tea kettle? Those are pretty cheap, take up very little space and are super fast to a boil. Seems like most are anywhere from 1100W to 1500W. I have one I use at home occasionally and considered trying it in the caravan but am too lazy camping and...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

So I went out to do the Monroe shock swap tonight and am going to try and do a little different experiment. The Monroe shocks are way stiffer than stock and designed for a decently heavy vehicle so doubling up seemed excessive possibly (I could very well be wrong). So I left one stock shock and...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

So I am planning on taking a trip to the Ozarks in Arkansas (probably mostly around St. Francis area for the dispersed camping) this weekend for the first time ever. First off if anyone has any suggestions or secret camp spots or places to see please send them my way. I know it's pretty low...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Mine shut down the first time so I reset it, made sure it wasn't on economy setting and then it got going and kept running on my small 2200w generator. Try again and make sure it's warmed up first maybe or try a few times, maybe turn everything else off (I didn't but also wasn't running the...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

So I just tested my small 2200w max 1800w running generator and it was able to run the AC on full blast in 95 degree weather so that's exciting. That size is perfect to store in the front bin and efficient enough if I absolutely needed it off-grid even though the noise is annoying.

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Yea seriously, but that means it just has better wiring and thicker gauge so no complaints here. I have no doubt that 30amp service would be just fine and likely even less than that. The AC is only 9000 btu so fairly small and efficient and everything else runs off the internal invertor and...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Alright, so lots to update here. I just got off the phone with Vincent from OBI (him and his dad started the company). He was very great to talk to and addressed any question I could think of at the time. 1) He said that some production runs had the water connection inside the body...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Wait what? Do you know what they all changed in the updated versions? Are the water connectors different for the 13 vs 15? My trailer has a sticker showing it was delivered to my dealership on Mar/28/22 but my outside kitchen water connectors are not up high like that. They are down below...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Yes!! I have seen it and it's a great idea and concept, sealed the deal for me on the Dweller actually. Was planning on just copying it since I live in Texas now and am not close to SLC (moved 5 months ago from Heber, UT). Do you guys sell the bed kit by chance, not sure if it would be worth...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

So I picked up my Dweller 15 last night and overall am very happy with the rig. Perfect balance of what we wanted and needed for all the luxuries off-grid. I have 4 kids so plan on incorporating another bed either similar to what ROA did or over the king bed to preserve headroom, no idea yet...

VA to UT/CO & back with a new rig, a daughter and a dog.

What a fun adventure and trip back!!!! I'm so glad everything worked out the way it did and you had a smooth trip back, that was alot of miles over the last month. As a vehicle owner I always try and be as transparent as possible but always fear feeling responsible if a rig broke down. I...
