    Storing an LR3

I have a different reliable British car in storage, a Lotus. It is stored for a lot longer than 6 months. It's back in Australia while I am here working in the US. It gets driven when ever I get a chance to go back, which before covid was once a year. -It is on a battery tender, mainly for...

LR3/LR4 Rhino OX hitch weld failures

Thanks but I want the clearance as I do a lot of my trips with my bike and do hardish 4x4 trails with it on there. I have the long OEM one right now which makes the clearance almost nothing.

LR3/LR4 Rhino OX hitch weld failures

What time frame were you guys given to get your replacement hitches? I'm looking to buy new one and they are out of stock everywhere. The warranty ones should go out before they start reselling them, if they are going to resell them. I'm only looking to get my bike rack as far off the ground...

Land Rover VIN look up?? Topix, VINDECODERZ Not working ??

Vindecoderz worked when I was looking for a LR4 with HD pack about 1.5 years ago. It correctly said the car I now currently own had the HD pack. It would only let me do like 10-15 checks in a row then not give me any info, I would try again 10-12 hours later and it would work again. I just...

Best quality replacement LR3/4 front lower control arms

My wheel alignment shop said the same thing about the AB lower control arm kit bolts after I installed them on my old LR3. They said the bolts were really low quality and the cam size on the adjustment bolt were too small. I emailed AB but never heard back.

    New Defender News

If Land Rover were smart they would do that with press and reviewers. I don’t know the exact situation for every reviewer and their interactions with Land Rover. If I reviewer I would want to know know about every feature and the easiest way to learn in get taught from the cars manufacturer...

    New Defender News

Ronny Dalh had issues but I doubt the he has driven any LR other than an old Defender. I can't find who the test was I watched from a UK review. Reviewers may only get a day, maybe two with the press cars and I hardly doubt they are going read the manual for every car they drive. They should, to...

    New Defender News

That has been a problem with quite a few Youtube reviews as well. Land Rover Aus didn't seem to have a manual in the press cars and a few people struggled with changing the 4x4 system. And of you need a manual to change the 4x4 modes it's way to difficult.

    Can I waterproof my RTT?

As mtnbike28 said Nikwax Solar Proof. Worked very well on mine as the Tepui I got waterproofing and seam sealing from factory was shockingly bad. I used Gearaid Seam Grip WP on the seams and Nikwax Solar Proof every where else.

    New Defender News

I would think it's a cost thing of getting testing/cert in Cali. For the 50-100 cars they might sell in the US the cost of making it pass Cali's regulations prolly isn't worth it. I also believe even if they use a engine from a BMW that's already certified, Ineos would still have to pay again...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Not a pic but a vid of me doing Fins N Things in Moab. It's a very quick rubbish edit and slightly too long video but I thought I would share it anyways. Also as usual GoPro's never really show how steep and big things are.

    New Defender News

I've seen lots of new(above 10) Defender around Los Angeles, mostly in the Beverly Hills, Beverly Grove, Brentwood and Malibu areas all driven by the same type of person. Did see one with the side storage box and ladder yesterday at LAX, the side boxes don't look as ridiculous in real life than...

    JLR Restructuring / Reorg

I'm surprised about that one being cut. I see more Disco Sports around than most LR models these days. It's probably cutting into the more expensive Evoke sales though.

    Discos going Solar.

If you do go down the second battery route I recommend going a DC/DC charger over just a relay change over. I have had all sorts of problems keeping my second battery charged on my LR4 because of the Land Rover "smart" charging system, I'm also a leave the fridge running 90% of the time person...

Foam replacement for RTTs - lessons learned

There is no inflatable pad that will perfectly fit the Teupi Ayer. So foam/latex fits edge to edge perfectly as you can cut it and it's cheaper(except for the upgrade Tepui mattresses as they foam and a rip off).

SOLD San Diego: LR3 Parts (ARB, Front Runner, Drawers, etc)

I have the long hitch on my LR and hate it and was thinking of getting the OX hitch. What's the problem with the OX hitch? I don't really tow, it's mostly for the bike rack that I want to get as far away form the ground as possible

Air Compressor that can set a tubeless bike tire?

If you have an already good floor pump and don't want to drop the large amount on a chamber pump, this works very well and actually better than my Lezyne Over Drive Pump. I have seen DIY instructions around to make pressure canister similar if you give it a quick google...
