    LR3 Seats stopped working!

I don't have an LR3, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. Just a couple things to clarify. In your posts, I see two statements that seem unrelated. You state in your opening post that you are working on completing a sleeping platform. Yet, in post #9, you state: "Since I obviously have the...

Does the rep of "unreliable" still hold true?

I, on the other hand, would rather get a D2 in good running condition, which is why I'm putting an ACR 4.8 Hi-Torque Short Stoke in mine. Yes, it has top hat liners. If I beat it up too badly on some Rubicon wanna'be, I can always transplant the lockers, axels, skid plates, rack, lights...

Does the rep of "unreliable" still hold true?

I wrote in a similar thread that a friend of mine sold his 2006 LR3 with 150K to another friend. The "new" owner has since put 200K miles on it for a total of 350K. A couple compressors, a couple A-Arm changes...that's about it. The hint to happiness is change ALL fluids per the maintenance...

Any interest in engine conversion electronics

Well, when you say "any engine", that's too general. What did you have in mind? Some GM LS whatever? Is that what you are thinking for a conversion kit? A COMPLETE conversion kit would be worth a look.

What tent is that? Looks like it's low profile when closed as opposed to the bricks I see on other vehicles. And you can stow Items on the 'roof"?

LR2 vs LR3 Which has the better build quality?

A friend of mine has an LR3 with 360K. Yeah, a couple of control arms, water pump, compressor, but 360K on the original engine?? Everything else is still good. Just change the fluids on time - tranny, transfer case, engine oil and coolant. Bob's your uncle.

    Used LR3?

A friend of mine owns a LR/Jag/whatever comes in the driveway repair shop. He sold his 2006 LR3 with 150K to a friend of his - always a dicey proposition - but they are still friends and the LR3 now has over 300K with no major issues. The shop owner bought a 2012 RR for commuting and keeping up...

Disco 1 Needs a Great Mechanic in SLC, UT

You are lucky. Jethro5 is correct about GBR. It is one of the best shops in the U.S. I am even considering shipping my Disco2 to them for an ACR 4.8 engine replacement...and I'm in Calif.

    Disco 2 #vanlife build

THAT is pretty dam awesome. I have a 2001 that's under construction and plan to have a similar build when all is said and done. Great post. Same here with the trail not being the main focus. When I was younger, yeah, but don't need the drama these days. Just want to get there, wherever that may...

Do you know a good landrover 109 builder in Westcoast

Timm Cooper, if he's still building Rovers, would be an excellent choice. Some folks on defendersource.com have contact info. He might be up around Portland though.
