    2014 Super singles

Pretty much anywhere... I've scoured 4 continents for 5 stud rims of any kind to no avail. Custom was the only real option, and mostly cheaper than off the shelf with international shipping and insurance costs these days.

    FGs for sale

Diamond Racing ^ diamondracingwheels.com I’ve spent way too much time and brain power on SS solutions for mine and they’re getting my order as soon as I finish the order sheet. I’m in the 17”/18” category though, which makes things different.

    Idacamper Custom Flatbed

Thanks in advance RE the dampeners. Please share if you can how/why you set them up however was most successful as this is a big part of the wizardry methinks!

    Idacamper Custom Flatbed

^ what he said ;-) Sorry if it seemed like I was taking away from the discussion or in any way criticizing the build. I was literally lamenting that I keep getting feedback from those experienced with my specific platform not to do something like this, even though we can now see a great example...

    Idacamper Custom Flatbed

Yes and yes. Far too many of us build strong like bull and of course we see where that ends up. But, making something just flexible enough that's adapted appropriately to the platform (truck) is obviously some mad scientist work. My WB is something like half of IdaSHO's and my rails are more...

AC battery requirements, and 120v vs. 12v systems

It's worth noting that the 55amp draw of the Mabru is at max operation. Catalog (not tested :-/) draw for the low fan setting on Eco cool is 22.5amps and a low fan setting on Normal (think medium) cooling is 40amps. I have a very small camper in the design stages, like 8'x6'x6' so will not need...

    Idacamper Custom Flatbed

Thanks as usual for taking the time to share so much of what you've learned and put into practice. I'm continuing to try and convince myself I don't need a pivot based subframe for my build. Every time I come back to study your rig and what you've been able to do with materials that others...

    FGs for sale

Care to share the listing or some pics? I looked very closely at the late 90's Rangers when I bought my Dyna/Dutro (also a JDM firetruck with only 11k kms). I was forced in the end to go with the narrower body series because of the size of overseas tracks, which SkiFreak already pointed out...

AC battery requirements, and 120v vs. 12v systems

Don't feel bad. I have a Mabru rooftop unit waiting still in the box for me to finish ordering materials, to begin making panels, to begin assembling panels... I'm stuck on the design challenge right now however of a very small roof that desperately needs as much solar as possible and a 6" tall...

    DOKA Sprinter 4x4 build

Have you read up on or followed this build? https://www.casa-trotter.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=8395 If your school french is as bad as mine, use Chrome and the translation feature will get you through nicely. The builder has had many growing pains with the Ford platform, but also used a...

    Kenda Klever R/T

There are a heap of reviews on the Tacoma and Jeep/Gladiator forums. Most if all are very favorable. In a backwards way Naters is providing some answer to my question about it's stability with tall and/or heavy loads if they felt it stepping out on a lighter Jeep...

    Kenda Klever R/T

I'm also on the fence with these vs the Maxxis Razr 811 AT. Anyone used the Klever RT in 35x10.50r17 or the Maxxis AT in 35x11.50r17? Especially with a heavy rig - think 200 Series with RTT, extra fuel tank, wife/dog/3kids, 2 or 3 kitchen sinks and some lead ingots. I'm concerned about sway...

    37s Load D or E?

Understood/agreed. I was asking Regcabguy if he was running the 50psi(C) or 80psi(E) version of the AT3 in size 285/75r17 when he experienced the unsettling windy condition squirm...

    37s Load D or E?

Do you happen to have the C load rated version of the AT3… I ask b/c I’m currently in the 17 vs 18 rabbit hole and noticed that there is an 80psi and a 50psi 285/75/17. Technically your psi setting should be the same for either as it’s based on the actual front/rear weights you’re running, but...

So... did you make it back? How did the MTs handle loose and deep sand? How are they a year on now with more miles burned in?
