pic request if you carry the spare inside

ever since i got the luxury of more room by purchasing a jeep LJ, i have moved my spare inside. This is for several reasons including getting that weight (approx 100 pounds) more forward and lower and avoiding digging the spare into the ground on abrupt inclines, possibly damaging other things...

    Let's see your LJ's!

The lift was there when I bought the LJ July 2017, but I believe it is around a 3", I added the wide flares to clear rubbing when flexed while turning, and I added Nth's rear spring relocators, which raised the backend a bit, made a nicer stance actually. Yes I have the Nth belly pan and oil...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

No issues at all, did not hinder forward progress, if I got stuck I would have been stuck regardless if the trailer was there or not. Only thing to watch is backing up, which I had to do a few times, but knowing the trailer was there and reacting appropriately, no issues at all.

    Raised Hitch Cargo Carrier

I purchase one that already had the 'rise' incorporated. Then I modified it so I could have the 'rise' change to a 'lowering' because I had a 2" receiver incorporated into a rollbar cross member across the top back corner of the roll cage. In the 'flipped' config it sits just above the spare...

    Tire Air Compressor?????

I've had great luck with a 110v unit and inverter. The 110v unit runs at much lower rpms so in my mind will last longer (forever with my infrequent use to air up 35" tires). Got it from Harbor Freight but it has held up in the last 2 jeeps very well - 15 years or so.

FS - 2014 Tentrax Offroad Trailer

Ah...folks, this is a great unit. Somebody needs to make an offer. I own an older one, and the only issue I have is answering questions about it from people I run into at gas stations, camp grounds, etc. It can also quite easily be painted to match your vehicle.

    Trailer tongue length

The ability to "jack knife to 90 degrees" is most important if you pull the trailer on some more difficult offroad tracks, and have to back up to, for instance, bend around a tight switch back corner. In many other uses, such as towing to a camp site and then hitting the trails without the...

Windows 10 Maps-Pro for Tablets works with Turn-by-Turn and GPX

successfully running mapspro on an old dell venue 8 pro tablet on windows 10 (which supports usb GPS input). downloaded maps to card, bought a dell dongle that supports 2 things using the single micro usb port (external usb GPS antennae and charging). I use my phone as hotspot for online TBT...

    Rollercam straps

well, an option yes, but I don't see the 'roller' part in their cam buckles. That's what we're talking about being required here for the higher performance

    Rollercam straps

well, I don't think they listened to us actually. It appears that they added a loop on the loose end so you might get a better grip on it while pulling. It still is a 1 piece strap, not 2 separate pieces. Functionality is still limited to strapping down the same as the original method...
