CRV vs CX5 VS Forester (2023 models)

My wife's Honda CRV was totaled by a driver who thought stop signs were optional. was about a 50 mph impact wife was pretty banged up and suffered a broken hand and much soft tissue damage where the seatbelt restrained her. Anyway I am waiting on the insurance adjuster to tell me what they are...

Elephant Hill / Needles: Advice on Rig (Tacoma)?

I would want bigger tires as you will want to be aired down . I think going down SOB hill is a bit of a challenge because of the tight down hill turn probably possible to kiss your front bumper if not careful.

Aggressive all terrain or less aggressive all mud terrain?

Toyo R/T's. I have had 3 sets of the R/T's so far (on two different rubicons and now my PW) and they have been great tires. Next set of tires will most likely be the R/T trails in 285/75-17.. I am surprised that your at3's are not a bit better. I would have been fine with my Toyos on my trip...

Can someone smarter than me please explain…

Only vehicles I saw moving were gas and diesel powered vehicles. I hated being out there but when you get the call and you need to be somewhere with little notice gas is king

Aggressive all terrain or less aggressive all mud terrain?

Just drove through a nasty storm in south dakota (montana to southern minnesota) conditions were horrible. Lost count of vehicles of all types in the ditch and duratracs did pretty good.

Toyo Open Country AT3 - 34/10.50/17 - anyone running them?

unless you need a D rated tire the 285/75-17 is going to be almost as narrow and a bit taller. I ran the at3 in 35x11.5-17 and they were shorter than my Toyo 35/12.5-17 RT's. I think the at3 as a family might run a bit smaller ala ko2's. I did have a set of the Ko2 in 34x10.5-17's and they...

Will stock F150 be able to do white rim trail?

Yes no problem. Last year we met a guy in a 2 wheel drive dodge caravan. Said he had a little problem getting up hard scrabble but made it. My buddy had no issues in his 2018 f150 he had slightly bigger tires than stock but no issues. not sure he ever needed to put it in 4wd.
