    My FGB71 build

That campsite is idyllic. All it needs to complete the dream is some Scottish fog and rain. :).

Trouble sourcing Fuso FG parts online

Did you try Busbees for the front driveshaft? That's a lot of money.

Trouble sourcing Fuso FG parts online

For comparison, the parking brake assembly I bought for $264 at Tom's Truck Parts in 2021 for $264 is listed at $250 currently at S1 parts center. One good thing about S1 is that Tom's Truck told me parking brake parts were only available in the complete assembly whereas S1 lists all the little...

Trouble sourcing Fuso FG parts online

I'm pretty sure that when communicating with Tom's Truck Parts, that number in the lower right hand corner of the diagram, and the number of the part in the diagram was the method for determining which parts I needed. In fact I think Tom's Truck sent me a copy of the diagram and asked me to...

Trouble sourcing Fuso FG parts online

Brett's Truck shipped me spring bushings to the USA. Busbees in the US has used parts. A driveshaft should be available from them.

Importing a Crew Cab Left Hand Drive Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 4x4

X2 on this. More than a couple of days and I'd be quite irritated particularly if one person wants to get up and sit and the other wants to stay in bed.

Importing a Crew Cab Left Hand Drive Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 4x4

Chile apparently imported the Isuzu 4x4. Maybe find a crewcab there. Drive it home. Alternatively buy a single cab FG in the US, a used crewcab off an FE fro Busbees and swap cabs. Probably cheaper to swap cabs than to convert a 2wd to 4x4.

    Isuzu FTR 4x4

There is a photo taken from the side and I don't see a transfer case hanging low. You can see the front driveshaft in the photo.

Having trouble finding information about Fuso vs Isuzu vs Hino in Canada.

Mitsubishi Fuso has stopped selling trucks in North America. Parts availability will surely diminish over time.

Isuzu FTR vs Fuso FM260 (reliability, 4x4 swap, international parts, etc)

Fuso has stopped selling trucks in the USA I believe. Parts availability in the US may become a problem after a while.

How do you torque your nuts????

Got the Ridgid high torque impact. It rattles off the lugs promptly. Bought generic batteries for it on Amazon. It’s 1/2” so I had to use 2 adapters to get it up to my 1” Budd impact socket.

    2014 FG hard starting

I had an occasional slow starter for a few years. I finally figured out that when I had the transmission rebuilt they had failed to connect the heavy ground wire from the frame to the bell housing. Once I reconnected that wire the problem was solved.

How do you torque your nuts????

Yes. I kept pushing after the beep and I did torque it harder than the set amount, but the device did indicate and record the higher torque amount. So you do end up knowing exactly what the device thought the torque was.

How do you torque your nuts????

Bought the 3/4" Harbor Freight digital torque wrench today. Seems to work quite well but I did not have a separate torque wrench to which to compare it to. It did confirm that my previous non-torque wrench method was not far off when it comes to torquing the lug nuts.

    Leaf spring detail isuzu NPS

Very interesting. It relates to my question in the other thread about why Isuzu never imported the NPS to North America. Apparently not because they didn't have a left hand drive version.

    New Isuzu FTR with Cummins

Is it difficult to produce left hand drive 4x4's when they're already building left hand drive 2wd trucks? I don't know but in my ignorance my guess is not a whole lot of work. In the USA the FG was popular with landscapers in snow country who plowed in winter. Seems Isuzu could have a share...
