Since a good friend of mine was one of the two professors who reported cold fusion in 1989, I can tell you for certain that it won't work.

It's only one example, but a P3 member has told me privately that he dumped his G63 because that 7-speed was giving him lots of trouble.

My G500 gets 15 mpg at 70-75 on the Interstate all day long. The only time it drops to 8-9 mpg is when I am pulling my Kimberley Karavan behind at 70-75 mph.

They also too tall to fit in peoples' garages or in public parking structures. That probably explains more than anything as to why there are so many very low mileage used ones available.

MBUSA is obviously having a hard time selling them. There are bunch of them listed on Ebay, both new and used with very low mileage.

Europa only used North America VIN's on their G500's. They all start with WDBEG, which most likely stood for Werk Daimler Benz Europa G.

Very slow to heat up, very slow to cool down and hard to keep clean. Also, cooking inside the karavan stinks up the inside. I rarely use mine. I have used it as an additional space heater on cold nights; although that is specifically warned against in the user manual.
