In my Flippac try to secure my stuff as best as I can. Simple forest service roads can josstle stuff about quite a bit. I'm actually more concerned about some bozo doing something idiotic on a highway & causing a crash, all the more reason to secure gear.

Sorry I have zero actual experience with either. My vote would be the Mitsubishi if you can drive right hand. Properly maintained it should have an excellent drive train, but that's the problem. I'd suggest taking any vehicle your not intimately experienced with to a reputable shop...
